As policies go that would probably clean up a lot of the mess right there

Used to get the Sunday paper for the coupons, comics, puzzles & sports section

Used to cost $2, now is $3.50, so not much of a bargain there.
Fewer coupons - and a lot of them “old folks” items (hair dye, efferdent, Ensure, etc.)

We coupon-clippers must be a fading breed :)

No workers, no checks, no FICA, no SS. We're old and incapable of fighting clean and many are completely dependent on SS, so you'd better get your acts together politicians ... we will not die because you starved us out .... we will die filling the streets with your blood.

God bless you. I am on Soc. Security and state pension. I paid for others lifestyles, welfare and retirements since around 1965 part time and 1969 full time. Now I fully expect my share from the social contract. "Gee, it sounds like a lot of money" That's what I said when I had to pay for all the people since 1965.

The unpopular R Gov. Rick Snyder in Mi set up a plan with taxes to pay for the state pension later. Now that the evil D Whitmer is in office she had better keep her demonic fingers off my future money and my wife's.

When guys like me were youths, it was the 60s with burning police cars, bombs from SDS Weather Underground and mass civil disobedience. It's all in our memory banks. Keep us happy and dormant, government.

There are enough safety measures in the US economy to maintain a status quo and keep us afloat IF America is working.

President Trump had us SO Rolling Strong until they invented covid 19, and it looks like they ain't gonn'a let it go.

We've fought our local wars (60's and 70's) and can't fight fair any more.

We ol' fahts MUST rely on the young bucks that have patriotic common sense and a pair to do the heavy lifting now.

NO ONE is talking the way I started today (above), but damnit ... unless and until a lot of elements (police, politicians, the general public) just flat out ignores all the scare tactics and actually fights back, we as a nation IS dead .... and we as an older generation are not going peaceably !

Less money for retired Democrats means less political influence for retired Democrats. Let them work until they croak, like the men who worked in factories over 40 years ago before being displaced by economic globalism.

Big, fat, trivial government had to end one way or another. The tens of millions of voters receiving employment incomes from the various levels of government repeatedly voted to shut down men’s jobs in real production in the U.S. The debts piled up as a result of that policy with lack of sustainable revenues from manufacturing and building. Those shortfalls were compounded by the resulting balance of payments deficits in trade. So majorities voted for the other way since the middle of the 1970s.

Well, the hens are coming home to roost, and they’re going to get skinny.

Politicians, i.e. lawyers , will just raise taxes to cover their incompetent, outrageous promises that should have never been made. Confiscate their wealth first!

Picture of elderly gentleman....

Hey, how’d you get my picture? Did a relative give it to you?
