Tucker Carlson, now officially the king of cable news, delivers historic challenge to GOP
American Thinker ^ | 07/01/2020 | Thomas Lifson

Tucker Carlson now has the highest ratings of any program in cable news history, adding extra weight to his historic program last night, in which he laid out the peril ahead if Biden wins and a clear strategy for the clueless GOP to follow in order to prevent that from happening.

If you missed Carlson's opening monologue last night, it is embedded below in full, all 10 minutes and 48 seconds of it.

I don't agree with every single point he made, but I still hope the mush-heads who keep the GOP acting like a whipped puppy, pathetically accepting the premises of the Democrats and trying to be accepted as by them and their media adjuncts, take heed.

Here is the peril Carlson sees if Biden wins (transcript via Fox News):

Republicans at all levels could lose this fall. If they do, there will be profound consequences for you. People who supported Donald Trump will be punished, there's definitely no question about that. There's never been an American political party as radical and as angry as the Democrats are now. Imagine them with unlimited power and that's what they plan to get in their first year[.] ... The point is, and it could not be clearer: Non-Democrats in America are in peril.

He invoked his interview with Senator Mike Braun Monday night, in which the Indiana Republican came across very badly in defending his support of a bill to make it easier to personally sue and bankrupt police officers for alleged abuses, a move that would drive every home-owning cop out of his profession.

TUCKER CARLSON's CHALLENGE TO REPUBLICANS:

"Yes, the Republican Party, flawed and infuriating though it often is. The fact remains, the GOP is the only institution still open to the rest of us, to Americans who want to live as they did just 15 years ago, quietly, productively, without being harassed and harangued by self-righteous lunatics who mean them harm. And they do," Carlson said. "If you want to be left alone to do your job and raise your family in this country, you will need a protector. That protector must be the Republican Party. There are no other options, but it must be a very different kind of Republican Party."

There is no reforming the GOP, it’s dead. A new movement must rise from the ashes.

TUCKER ALSO PREDICTED WHAT DEMOCRATS WOULD DO ONCE THEY GAIN POWER:

These predictions are based on what Democrats themselves have said.

* They will immediately amnesty 20 million illegal aliens and get them on the voting rolls, making it impossible for the Republicans to win any more national elections.

* They will abolish the Senate filibuster rule, allowing a 51-vote majority to pass into law anything they want.

* They will enlarge and pack the Supreme Court, eliminating the constitutional safeguard against tyranny.

* They will grant statehood to the District of Columbia, enlarging their Senate majority.

It’s long past time for members of the “Grand Old Party” to $hit or get off the pot! Collectively, their silence on what is happening to the country is deafening and those who do speak are predominantly still tight-walking down the middle of the road (where reside only yellow lines and dead armadillos) or openly criticizing the president. Indiana voters need to send that idiot Mike Braun back to whatever “main street” from which he claims to originate.

Carlson is absolutely right; our only hope is the Republican Party, however inept, feckless and incapable of actual LEADERSHIP it might be.

Republicans are not clueless. Republicans are pure politicians in every negative sense of the word. Republicans aren’t worried about what’s good for America. Republicans aren’t concerned about supporting Trump and blocking Biden. Republicans are worried about positive exposure for themselves. Republicans are worried about donors, and lobbyists, and getting re-elected. Republicans want to make nice with the media in an effort to win over 2 or 3 swing votes.

Republicans are politicians.

Thanks for posting this thread and recap of Tucker’s excellent program, from last night.

He exposed the dire situation this country faces, should the Republican Party not get their collective @$$es in gear, quick and actually offers actions required to do so.

And, what becomes of this country, immediately, should crazy Joe/Dems take power.

Kudos, Tucker!

The other part that Tucker Carlson did not mention is if Biden wins, the Democratic Party using their allies in State Government especially in NY will legally go after Trump and his family....

I could easily see criminal charges being brought against Trump and his children, the goal will be to bankrupt him and possibly sent to prison...this will be a warning to anyone wishing to challenge the establishment in the future and there will no opposition from the Republican Establishment who most are afraid to push back

Of course they will! We were told we can't go after Hillary for her obvious crimes, because we "just don't do that kind of thing... only banana Republics".

The Dems will do it in a heartbeat and they will be vicious. They like bananas.

“They [republicans] will not lead us...”

100% correct. All the Republican Party is good for at this point is showing us how to bend over and grab our ankles.

Tucker is absolutely Must See TV.
I hope he has plenty of security because the ‘rats can’t let him continue to expose them.

RE: I hope he has plenty of security because the ‘rats can’t let him continue to expose them.

Well, they’re trying to get him by intimidating his advertisers to withdraw from sponsoring. Many have already done that, but many have been replaced.

So, failing this, I believe violence will be the other option.

Agree. The GOP is comfortable being in the minority while the Democrats do the heavy lifting and install a European style social welfare state. They figure they can manage it later. The big GOP donors (Kochs, etc.) are mostly in agreement on policy with Democrats and that’s pretty much all the GOP cares about. The Age of Trump has shown us there is no GOP cavalry coming to save us.

Tucker Carlson Begs Republicans to Stop Being Democrats…
Posted on June 30, 2020 by sundance

Tucker Carlson used his opening monologue tonight to beg Republicans to stop being Democrats. Most of what Carlson outlines is accurate, especially the “Nikki Haley waiting in the wings” to return to the UniParty rules part

One amendment to your statement:

“””I hope he has plenty of security because the ‘rats AND RINO REPUBLICANS can’t let him continue to expose them.”””

Tucker won’t be in any real danger until he uses his power to advocate for a 3rd party. He’s still on the “We’ve got to elect more Republicans” plantation so to speak. Once there is a viable 3rd party there will be a 4th party, etc., etc. THAT choice is what the Uniparty fears.

Tucker's main point was the We The Base are not getting in our GOP representatives' faces and forcing them to do what we elected them to do. They are waiting for us to to lead them, and will respond to the loudest voices they hear - which right now are on the other side. They will not change their pandering ways unless BLM-sized protests by us against their inaction start happening outside their offices.
