Elements of the left are claiming now that America’s national parks are built on systemic racism.
“The outdoors and public lands suffer from the same systemic racism that the rest of our society does,” Joel Pannell, associate director of the Sierra Club, said in an ABC report, titled “America’s Great White Outdoors.” The report called the parks “stubborn bastions of self-segregation.”

Why should blacks be forced to go to National Parks when they clearly don’t want to go?
The premise of this article took “dumb” to a new level.
This is something i knew would be an issue years ago. It started with camping, and noticing that most campers and RVers were caucasian. then looking around at other outdoorsy stuff bicycling, hiking, and the like, and its participants are by and large not POC. I knew at some point that it would be some weird area of attack by PC police.
Black culture is many things but a hiking, camping and outdoorsy culture it is not. Sierra club is a Marxist organization and should be treated as such.
Obviously the solution is to have a gubmint agency that decides where everyone will go for vacation

The truth is that black people, even educated and savy black people just don’t go to National Parks or National monuments
The NPS has created black exhibits that some times strain credulity because of the relative black insignificance. The fact is that almost no black people will ever see the exhibit because they simply don’t go. The only real black attendance is by kids coming with school groups.
I’m talking about the visitor centers. In the park or monument proper, there are virtully no back visitors. The park Service has gone head over heels to be racially and politically inclusive to no avail
I go to lots of parks and monuments and actually count the black presence
We will now see tax payer funded busing to national parks. Reminds me of a commercial in the late 70’s. The fresh air fund, urban kids taken out for the day to the country where at the end of the commercial they had a young black kid say “would yoo take me der”
Sick and getting sicker. Anything associated or not associated with white, the color white, being closely resembling white is evil reprehensible and needs to be eliminated
I can see it now, an Urban National Park. Perhaps create a National Park on the site where Tupac was shot.
We stay at RV parks several times a year. Almost exclusively white and hispanic campers. Not a racist thing, just what is.
Take 'em all to Yellowstone and let them out to pet the grizzlies and bison!

They certainly make use of the bbq grills in our local state park
“Smokey” is obviously a racist slur for a bear of color. Plus he is voiced by a white guy!
