San Francisco Archbishop Holds Exorcism At Golden Gate Park Site Where Serra Statue Was Toppled

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone gathered a group of worshipers over the weekend at the site where Black Lives Matter protesters toppled a statue of Father Junipero Serra to conduct a exorcism because “evil is present here.”

Cordileone has been very vocal with his harsh criticism of the protesters. A video the exorcism ceremony was posted on YouTube on Tuesday.

“We are here at the site where the statue of Father Serra stood in Golden Gate Park that was blasphemously torn down,” the archbishop said on the video. “An act of sacrilege occurred here that is an act of the evil one. Evil has made itself present here.”

In the video, the archbishop leads a group of about two dozen worshipers and clergy — all socially distanced — in the rosary and the prayer of exorcism.

“I’ve been feeling great distress and sort of a deep wound in my soul when I see these horrendous acts of blasphemy and disparaging of the memory of Serra — who was such a great hero,” said Cordileone in the clip.

Serra was an 18th century Roman Catholic priest who founded nine of California’s 21 Spanish missions and is credited with bringing Roman Catholicism to the Western United States.

The grounds on the state capital in Sacramento would be a good place for an exorcism. On second thought several dozen may be needed. Lord knows what evil the Demoncrats have done to California in just the past two decades!

Does anyone know if anyone would ever plan to replace the toppled statues? I know that costs money and time and effort, and “political capital” on the part of politicians, for anyone to make the outrageous request that we rebuild what has been destroyed. But I wonder if anyone has thought to organize such efforts.

I think we need a huge exorcism on the looney left and average citizens who have fallen under the spell of BLM, Antifa, political correctness, Dr. Fauci, virtue signaling, Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, and the mockingbird media. Have I left anything out? Because I think half the country is possessed.

Going to a physical place where evil occurred and holding an “exorcism” is probably not going to do much.

Exorcisms are serious business and are conducted by trained priests on people possessed by demon(s).

I am not sure about that. It’s a private specialized business with not many spectators and upper management attending.

Next time, spray holy water on the protesters and see who bursts into flames spontaneously.

It's "Chancery." And there should no doubt be some exocisms held there. Cordeleone means "heart of a lion," and the name suits him. He's on our side. For years, he has been heroically fighting the culture of PC that infects most official cultures, including most chanceries. He's the real deal. With brass . . . bells, I meant to say.

You can bet the Chancery rats were screaming with rage at this--but bishops of a certain age are hard to threaten.

There are several kinds of exorcism.
One of them is the driving out of demons from a possessed person. This one was a “simple exorcism”, which can be applied to objects and places. We have several times organized such an exorcism on business premises and homes, after a disaster, a rebuilding, new construction, a death, etc.

Father Junipero Serra was made Saint just five years ago. Pope Francis himself made special trip to Washington to sanctify him. The only US Saint actually sanctified by Pope on US soil! He is the patron Saint of US Hispanics and the state of California. By attacking the statue, they basically defaced all Hispanics and all Californians! Just totally bigoted racist act! People of California and all Hispanics should be outraged!
