They already have two recent contracts to deliver on in Arizona (from the Eastern and Western edges of the Tohono O'odham Nation Indian Reservation). They are down there now.
If they can crank out the miles faster, they stand a good chance of picking up some additional contracts. Looks like they are about to start racing.
They deserve TRIPLE pay working in that heat.

The annual monsoon rains start around the 4th of July (late afternoon gully washers most days), so they will be working around that as well.

I believe that there is incentive for early delivery in most/all the border wall contracts, that can fund overtime pay differentials. Out there in the middle of nowhere, there is not much else for the workers to do, so they might as well bank some extra pay. Everybody wins.
Fisher has some hilly terrain without good road on the Eastern side of the TON (42 miles), so they are going to need a solution for fast road building over on that side as well. Moving a lot of material is kind of Fisher’s strong suit, so it could be exciting to see them work.

We are really hitting stride on building the Wall now (mile per day). They next eighteen months are already funded to keep smoking along like this, and even faster.

I think that a (the) major driver of the NAFTA replacement (USMCA) was to rip a lot of business out of China, and split it between (low wage) Mexico and (high skill) USA.
With more jobs in Mexico, there is less pressure for them to migrate here.
Similarly, there is a war of sorts brewing, to break the Mexican cartels, to address another structural pressure driving migration from Mexico to the USA - poor security.
Even stronger than the push to migration from cartel crime rates, is the pull to migration from the cartel’s human trafficking operations.
Those cartels need to be broken to secure the border, otherwise they will have (and use) the money for sophisticated methods of penetrating even the strongest border fortifications.

USMCA future plans were spelled out to them and they stopped being resistant and now helping us to break the back of China.
Another promise kept by Trump. Dang, he’s good at keeping promises. Others promise many things, but Trump fulfills his promises. Just like with moving our Israeli embassy to Jerusalem, stopping ISIS, rebuilding our military, getting out of the Paris Climate Change agreement, redoing NAFTA, and so many other projects. It is truly amazing to see what he has accomplished, especially in light of the unremitting opposition/resistance (including from inside the GOP, eg, Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney et al).
That heat will keep a lot of the protesters away.
