A doctor at Stanford University said the spike in hospital patients in Texas has "nothing to do with COVID-19.
Dr. Scott Atlas, a senior fellow at Stanford Universitys Hoover Institution and the former chief of neuroradiology at the universitys medical center, joined Fox Newss The Story on Monday and said the public should not panic about the spike in hospitalizations.
When I looked at every single hospital area in Texas today, 15-20% of people in the hospital as inpatients are COVID-positive patients. That means 80-85% have nothing to do with COVID-19. And the same thing goes with some of these other states. There are people hospitalized, a large number, because they are tested as COVID-positive, somehow they are categorized as COVID hospitalizations. Thats a problem,
..
we have a decrease in death rates," Atlas said. "So, it doesn't matter if you get the illness if you're going to fully recover and be fine from it, and that is what people must understand. For younger, healthier people, there's not a high risk from this disease at all."

Also hospitals which are profit making enterprises like to maintain an 80 - 90 percent fill rate in the ICU. Think of a hotel, got to fill those beds!
Someone needs to let Gov Abbott know, he doesn’t have a clue
Nice ad hominem. What he is saying regarding the cases is true.

What you say is true, but this is all being driven by various narratives that started back in March, when all the projections were 2 million deaths and Cuomo demanding 30,000 more ventilators and 1000s of more beds in places like Javitz convention center.
And to be fair, with those kinds of projections, the first need was to be to prevent the healthcare system from being overloaded.
We did a terrible job of triage early on. Not to totally change subjects, but we had strong evidence that HQC+ worked if given to patients early; upon diagnoses or onset of first symptom. Those who hate Trump more than fellow humans (many establishment types in government, in medical research, etc) just decided to try to disprove it with very sloppy research with headline grabbers while ignoring the good medicine being practiced by doctors in Europe, New York and California among other places. We probably could have put a lot of this disease down early if we followed better protocols. 80% of people put on a ventilator are dying but nobody is really seriously questioning their use or the mad scrample to produce them despite the fact that the evidence actually suggests ventilators are killing more than they save. We did not even do a good job of allocating resources. Covid patients should have gone to covid designated hospitals leaving other hospitals for non-covid treatments.
Yep, Im in Houston and familiar with Medical News in the city. There are some real issues with the numbers and information the MSM push regarding COVID-19.
The MSM are the Pandemic
Hospitalizations are exploding on the border.
Would the media tell us if they were “non citizens?”
He is a kook, and if he is connecting vaccines to autism, he is a liar and any data he is sharing shouldn’t be trusted. He might be right here, but not a trustworthy source. Data is plentiful, no need to stoop to this guy.
Well, he is right here and that is the issue. So, whatever issues you have with him, aren’t relevant to the subject being discussed. He isn’t a ‘kook’ regarding this issue.
