I’ve seen the recommended preventative dose, for Quercetin (as suggested by Dr Z, and the CA doctors who first began calling out Newsome), as 500 mg/day, along w/zinc.

Do you mind saying where you read/heard taking 1,600 mg/day?

TIA.

1600 mg is the recommended dosage given on the bottle; actually, now that I read more carefully, the recommendation is 2 capsules, two to three times/day, or up to 2400 mg (each single capsule is 400 mg quercetin).

“Amazing Formulas” quercetin/bromelain.

So I am toward the low end of dosing. Because of the “heavy legs” feeling, which comes and goes, I, personally, will not increase my dose unless I get some covid symptoms. At first I thought it was my hypertension medication that was causing the sensation. But the feeling at least means the bromelain is getting it into my system! It also means this is “real” quercetin since that is a recognized side effect.
