Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Friday reaffirmed his commitment to electing Joe Biden president, but said the Democratic nominee’s victory in November would be followed by a “serious debate” about the direction of the country.
“We’re going to come together to defeat Trump,” Sanders told "The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah on Friday. “And the day after Biden is elected, we’re going to have a serious debate about the future of this country, but it will be done within the framework of a democratic society.”
The Vermont senator’s remarks presage a coming push by progressives to wield more influence in the Democratic Party and within a potential Biden administration.
Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, posed the greatest challenge to Biden during the 2020 Democratic presidential nominating contest, amassing a series of early primary wins before eventually falling behind Biden in the delegate count and suspending his campaign in early April.
He endorsed Biden soon after ending his campaign and has since sought to boost the former vice president among progressive voters who may be reluctant to cast their ballots for a more moderate Democrat.
Sanders acknowledged his differences with Biden on Friday. But he said that unity among competing political factions — progressives, moderates and even conservatives — is necessary to stave off President Trump’s reelection.

It’s after they have silenced conservatives that the leftists will have a debate about the future of the country, socialist or communist?
They’ll have their “serious debate” after the election because they’re incapable of having a debate with President Trump now.
In 1776, 30% of the population fought against the British. Our numbers are higher than that now, and the Communists are far less ready for combat than we are - we are the combat vets and hunters in this nation.
The debate will be among ourselves on whether or not we take prisoners.

Bernie is a moron of the first order. The moment Biden would be elected would be the last moment Bernie would have value to the Dem establishment. How did that whole “coming together” work at the convention when the socialist superstar AOC was allocated all of two minutes to spread her socialist message?
Sanders is a lazy and selfish POS who thinks he’s intellectually superior to most of the rest of the world. We can talk about why he thinks that, and come to some very accurate conclusions, but it’s not worth it at this point. He’s just a scummy individual who wants to control the lives of other individuals.

Whatever these bastards mean by “democratic society.” it bears no resemblance to the Land of Liberty.
I can just imagine them reading or hearing this statement by Sanders and screaming at their smartphone screen: “The time for this debate was when you were running against this old fool in the primaries, you traitor!”
Sanders and Xi are two turds of the same source — Communism. A vote for Biden is a vote for Xi.
