August 21, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) A New York mother says she and her six kids were treated in an inhumane way after being tossed from a JetBlue flight because her two-year-old child kept pulling her mask off.
She was pulling it off, she had a pacifier in her mouth and they [flight attendants] saw it happening, Chaya Bruck was reported by Fox News as saying about the incident, which took place on August 19 in Orlando, Florida.
The incident left the mother and kids stranded in a Florida airport for more than five hours.
Bruck said she struggled to have her two-year-old child keep a mask on before the plane departed the gate. This resulted in flight attendants telling her that unless her child kept the mask on, she would be kicked off the flight along with everyone else.
The way they treated me and went about it is inhumane, said Bruck in the Fox News report, adding that she was targeted."
My kids started crying. They got scared. They didnt know what was going on. It was very traumatizing,
Bruck says she and her husband are looking into suing JetBlue because of the incident.
A video of the event posted on Fox News shows a clip of the ordeal.
In the background, voices can be heard by some passengers who appear to be defending Bruck, with one voice clearly saying, Shes two years old, shes two years old, its on your website. Another voice also says, Then why is it on your website?
The video also shows everyone disembarking the plane, and in the background disgruntled passengers can be heard voicing their displeasure about the situation.
Bruck alleges in the Fox News report that before boarding the plane, she heard on the speaker at the gate that small children did not have to wear a face mask if they could not keep it on.
On May 4, the New Yorkbased airline was the first U.S. carrier to mandate that its passengers wear face coverings while boarding, in-flight, and deboarding.
JetBlues president, Joanna Geraghty Wearing, said at the time that a face covering isnt about protecting yourself; its about protecting those around you.
Brucks husband alleges that the airline changed the wording of its mask policy for kids shortly after the incident. A screen shot taken by the Bruck family and posted in the Fox News report shows the wording, Children who are not able to maintain a face covering are exempt from the requirement.
Bruck claims that JetBlue later changed its face covering policy to what it currently says on its website shortly after the incident to read, All travelers 2 years and older must wear a face covering over their nose and mouth throughout their journey, including during check-in, boarding, while in flight and deplaning.
A spokesman for the airline said in the Fox News report that the face covering policy was last updated on August 10 and is consistent with CDC guidelines, which state that anyone over the age of two should wear a mask.
However, a Seattle Times report says JetBlue updated its mask policy just 44 minutes after Brucks flight was to have taken off.
The same report also says the incident started on Brucks trip to Orlando over a week ago, when she first argued with a flight attendant about masking her two-year-old. According to the Seattle Times report, Bruck said that the minute the flight attendant saw her, he recognized me.
I heard him tell the other stewardesses about me.
Bruck was quoted as saying in the Fox News report that she thinks its not feasible for a child who is 2 years old to wear a mask, adding that she does not think under 4 is even possible to force a child to wear a mask, and especially if they have a pacifier in their mouth.
A 2-year-old child does not have the logic as an older kid and doesnt understand the consequences of not wearing the mask, she was quoted as saying to Fox News.
Im not a confrontational person, I didnt want any trouble, I just wanted to get home with my six kids after a family vacation.
Bruck said JetBlue did not help her book another flight, and they made it home on a United Airlines flight later in the day.
This is not the first reported incident involving people being kicked off planes due to not wearing a mask.
A report from last week says a Texas woman and her family were kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight because their 3-year-old, who has autism, refused to wear a mask.
Steve Jalsevac, LifeSiteNews co-founder and managing director, said in a recent blog post that the increase in mandatory masking is driven not by science, but by fear and is a change from what health experts were saying earlier on.
There are now increasing statements that broad mask mandates definitely save many lives. That is a complete flip from what we were told up to a few weeks ago that masks are not helpful, wrote Jalsevac.
Dr. Dan Erickson, who owns Accelerated Urgent Care and who spoke at the White Coat Summit, whose press conference was banned from social media, said in a Breitbart report that Im watching people in their Prius by themselves driving with a mask on. Theres no sense to it.
Its fear, he added.
A Wisconsin state agency recently required that employees wear masks during at-home Zoom meetings to visually remind folks that masking is an important part of navigating the business of natural resources during this tumultuous time.

People are going stark raving mad in this country. I am afraid we are beyond the point of no return.
well past time we overthrow the tyrants
our politeness and high degree of patience and civility really only serve to imprison us in these cases
The insanity continues, unabated. The mother needs to hire an excellent attorney and make those idiots to pay a high price for their stupidity.
We soon will be ordered to photoshop a mask on all of our old photos from kindergarten and up...
Agreed. We are ready for a national divorce.
meanwhile, there’s another uproar (following suggestion vaccine would be mandatory/walked back somewhat) in Australia, with Comrade Dan in Victoriastan (Premier Daniel Andrews), extending what was six weeks, then ten weeks, declaration of his State of Disaster by announcing he was extending it by TWELVE MONTHS!
VDEO: 24 Aug: Sky News Australia: Victoria state of emergency to be extended by 12 months
Premier Daniel Andrews has announced Victorias state of emergency will be extended for 12 months beyond the scheduled September 13 finish date.
Mr Andrews said a decision was yet to be made as to when the Victorian Parliament would sit to pass the bill but it would be made available at the appropriate time.
He said they had to assume a vaccine would not be available before next year and had to correspondingly extend the lockdown measures beyond the normal six-month legal limit.
Those sorts of rules are all a product of the state of emergency and the provisions within the public health and well-being act need to be changed to reflect the fact that while we would all love this to be over by the 13 September, which is when the act says the state of emergency must end, that is just not going to be the case, he said.
We are going to have this with us for a considerably longer period than that.

Comrade Dan’s Chief Health guy - dated from google result:
16 Sept 2019: LinkedIn: Why Climate Change matters for Public Health
by Brett Sutton, Chief Health Officer, Victoria
The Industrial Revolution brought new challenges to health including overcrowding, dangerous working conditions and poor, often deadly, air quality
Working conditions and environmental protections are fundamentally improved in higher income nations, although the challenge in lower and middle income nations remains substantial
But there is one threat that was not part of public health thinking before the industrial revolution that of climate change. The current climate emergency is the single greatest threat to global health into the future. Already we are seeing the effects from increasing severity and frequency of heatwaves; extreme weather events including flooding and drought; threats to water quality and security; threats to food security, employment and mental health with drought and floods. Theres increased risk of food poisoning with higher temperatures and also the risk of vector-borne disease as mosquito populations establish themselves over more traditionally temperate areas. Then there are the very significant changes globally as rising water levels and extreme weather threatens to displace populations from low-lying areas and areas with weak infrastructure. These climate displaced may even occur in Australia
I hope in my role as Chief Health Officer that I can help to raise awareness of the significant threat of climate change and the central place that public health has in seeking solutions as well as improving adaptations to protect ourselves. My branch worked hard to incorporate climate change thinking into Victorias Public Health and Wellbeing Plan. The plan addresses tackling climate change and its impact on health with advice and guidance for local government, the health sector and other stakeholders in both mitigating and adapting to climate change. Part of the process of awareness-raising is in demonstrating that we can all individually play a role that helps improve our personal health while contributing to better planetary health. These videos and associated information can be found at Better Health Channel info on Climate Change. Every contribution, small or large, counts.
My branch had also made a submission to the WA Parliamentary inquiry on Climate Change and looks forward to the report in March 2020. And the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee, comprising all Chief Health Officers or Chief Medical Officers in Australia, has the health issues of climate change firmly on its work agenda. Theres much more to be done, of course, including finalising the Department of Health and Human Services Adaption Action and Emissions Reduction Plans as laid out in Victorias Climate Change Adaptation Plan.
But we have to ensure that the growing threats to health from our changing climate are front and centre in our thinking and actions into the future. As Chief Health Officer I have both a moral and a statutory obligation to protect Victorians from threats to health and wellbeing. So climate change is always in my thinking. I hope it can be in yours too.

what the climate mob couldn’t achieve via CO2, they are achieving via CoV2 - the destruction of Western economies.
In most places I’ve been, any child under 3 does not have to wear a mask, and it’s generally suggested that the parents do not put a mask on the toddler.
(This may explain why the Antifa “protesters” are allowed to rape, pillage, and loot at will sans mask with no repercussions.)
And Joe and the Ho have said they would shut the country down again to gain complete control over the population..err virus.
It’s hard enough for an adult to wear a mask for hours, but it must be awful for a 2 year old.
Yet another reason I drove 1600+ miles roundtrip to attend my Grandson’s wedding.
Now you can’t tell ANTIFA against common citizens..Everyone has mask.. Maybe that is why the Dems are forcing everyone to wear one!!
Try the Amtrac passenger train next time.
Unless you have a sleeper, Amtrak requires a face diaper. I guess the virus is smart enough to stay out of the cars HVAC system in the sleeper cars and only in your room.
I'm tired of the @ssholes making threats, whether it's about change at the grocery store (hello! coin shortage!) or not wearing masks. Maybe worse are those who have a mask in their hand or as a chin strap. And, who told anyone, that you don't have to social distance with family members? We've known from the beginning that's how half a family can get the virus and die off.
I'm past ready for covid to be over but, unless we have a very good vaccine, I don't see this improving any time soon. I can't even imagine a Biden/Harris nationwide lockdown and what unAmerican policies will be slipped through a Dem controlled congress. We already see a preview in the Dem bills. Our only hope is for Trump to be reelected.
Disgusting.
I think it was the flight attendant who should have been tossed off the plane not the poor mother and her kids.
Where was the pilot who is in complete control of the goings on of the airplane in this incident?
No, just no.
The science on the effects of CVD-20 on small children is new and more is yet to be discovered. Many children have no symptoms and the level of their contagiousness is not fully understood. America’s Frontline Doctors say that infections from children never happen. Why this never happens needs more study.
