It seems to me that, because of the media hype, he needed to prove he didn't do it. It is impossible to prove a negative. That is not how our system is supposed to work.

Also, a prosecution expert put her on the computer at her house, when she would have already been dead according to the prosecution timeline.
Wasn’t there another Peterson who was a police officer and had killed more than one wife? That name Peterson should make a fiancé a bit suspicious...
Well, the state is supposed to prove it in court. I just don’t see what they can do about the fact that their own witness has her alive at her home on the computer when Scott was already at the waterfront, when she was already supposed to be dead.
There are men on Death Row at San Quentin who were sentenced as far back as 1982, 38 years ago. They still have not exhausted their appeals. It’s a travesty and a scandal, but nothing will change.
Honestly, for this guy, he needs to not get the death penalty. His ass is paying every day for the last 15 years for what he did. Might as well bend him over for another 15 years.
Death penalty should be for pedos, rapists, terrorists, traitors, some members of the media, etc...

The last execution in CA was in 2006, but California juries still give it out frequently. California has more people on death row than any other state. By the way, being on death row is much worse than being in a CA prison not on death row.
Californians did not vote for initiatives that would have ended the death penalty in 2012 and 2016.
It was hard for a lot of people to sympathy with a guy cheating on his pregnant wife. The press certainly convicted him. My recollection was they had money problems and he was not ready for kids while she was ready for kids. If not him, it is sure hard to figure out who else had motive but that isn’t our standard of proof. Death penalty seemed harsh given most of the case was circumstantial.
The press really should stay away from cases like OJ, Floyd, Peterson, etc. Maybe these should just give the weather forecast and last nights scores.

Prisoners are getting killed all the time by fellow inmates, you're only hearing about the ones who were newsworthy...........
