“How can the Democrat Party ask to lead our country when it spends so much time tearing down our country?”

Best line of the night!

I can’t spare this man.

He fights. And fights. And then fights some more...

“Trump threw so many punches at his opponent that, had it been a real heavyweight boxing match, the referee would have stopped it in the middle rounds out of mercy.”

The big takeaway from the speech is that Joe Biden is weak.

Trump Goes Scorched Earth In RNC 2020 Acceptance Speech

That's a metaphor.

The Democrats are actually scorching the earth in the cities they run, and in at least one case tried to scorch police officers.

I thought Trump was pretty tame with the delivery of a pretty pointed message.

Perspectives I suppose. We all have one.

It was a dark speech according to the dark forces on the left.

Far from scorched Earth. The Democrats own that.

It was a reality check for what is at stake this fall.

I would hardly call this speech “scorched earth.” The accurate portrayal of the opposition was included in a wide-ranging speech that dealt with past accomplishments and new aspirations.

Don’t worry, when Trump goes all in on “scorched earth,” we won’t need a political commentator to let us know. It will be a sight to behold!

I expect Joe Hiden will come on tv from his basement with his face all covered with bandages and two black eyes.

The only question was whether the pounding was too brutal for those swing voters...

I don't think so. People are PO'ed at the namby-pamby approach the GOP has taken for decades...a tact that has got them nowhere. Trump takes off the gloves and tells them give it their best shot. Sadly, their best shot is a candidate who hides in the basement, is afraid to debate, and can't form a coherent sentence. If that's the kind of leader a "swing voter" wants, I fear deeply for this Republic.

When the God fearing founders of this nation came up with the Republican vs democratic form of governmental representation. They considered that groups we call a political party once elected to a given political office. would not place their groups control and interest above the common good and benefit of the nation once elected to a legislative, executive or judicial office. Rather than work together for the common interest. By taking that oath of office.

In an era when a man’s word was considered sacred They truly believed that upon election. requiring taking the oath of office which swears loyalty to abide and support the constitution would take precedence and avert any fractious direction super ceding any political position taken by the group that the office holder associated with before entering .

It took the democrat convention of 2012 when they attempted to remove any reference to God, “Our Creator,” to clearly demonstrate that belief no longer applies today for when one takes that oath it means nothing.

Better for Trump to come out in a fighting mood than for someone like McCain to promise that the country had nothing to fear from an Obama presidency.

Trump says “elect me”, while McCain said “elect my opponent”.

Trump asked: “If he can’t stand up to them, how is he going to stand up for you.”

That is what every sane American has to ask themselves, whether the President points it out or not. Anecdotally, I know a couple of leftish, soccar mom virtue signalling Karens who have watched the riots and threats of terror waged against suburbs with horror and they came out and said they are voting, however reluctantly, for President Trump.

Thank you, ladies. We'll take whatever votes we can get.
