The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards aired on Sunday, August 30 from New York City and Black Lives Matter and get out the vote messages were sprinkled throughout.
As with everything during the coronavirus pandemic, this award show was not what we are accustomed to seeing. Many locations were used for the performances and for most there was no live audience. Also of note – the performers were not subject to the quarantine guidelines that any other visitor to New York City would be under. The artists and performers were given special treatment.
Host Keke Palmer began the evening by devoting the broadcast to actor Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) who recently passed away from cancer. Then she launched into a Black Lives Matter riff. I suppose it was to be expected, given her past remarks on racial equality and how President Trump is trying to start a race war.

What??? Some entertainment awards show had people spewing liberal pablum??? What is this world coming to???

It could present how many blacks graduate high school and college. How income levels have risen. How representation on corporate boards has increased. How representation in various industries have increased. How representation in hollywood has increased.
Open the dialog on the real issues facing blacks that Candace Owens talked about in her congressional hearings. Hold the hearings that Congress won't hold.
Another thing that I thought about, is how do we change the culture in areas where black families have disintegrated. Maybe we pick a city and do some pilot studies where we pay people to attend church for a year. $100 a church service. Make sure it's a real church preaching Christ and not liberation or identity politics. See if it makes a meaningful impact.
Does MTV still exist? Or is it just an award?

As of 2018, the last year that I could find stats, a White person is murdered every 8 hours by a black in the US. When will someone, with a national platform, have the courage to call out truth about racial violence?

Did you know that since the 1965 Civil Rights Act through 2019 there have been 192 blacks appointed as US District Court Judges and 28 more to the US Court of Appeals? Plus thousands of blacks who are judges in municipal and state courts.

According to the FBI, in 2019, blacks killed 514 whites, while whites killed 234 blacks.
That’s more than a 2:1 ratio. Adjusted for population size: blacks killed 12 times as many whites per person versus the reverse scenario.
Black lives matter to whites far more than white lives do to blacks.
I decided to record the MTV Video Awards last night so I could fast forward through it later and see how Political it would end up being.
There was the usual we love BLM crap, mentions of the Blacks hurt and killed by the Police, the “unbiased” go out and Vote to change things mantra and ONE Joementia / Hoementia 2020 Commercial.
The Commercial was a mish mash of Vote for Change, flashing graphics and pictures of an energetic Joementia talking to a crowd. I wished the Trump Campaign had bought Commercial time just so we could hear the squealing.
Wonder what the ratings were.

The ‘systemic racism’ is where black racists are burning down city blocks, looting businesses, assaulting white people left and right, murdering cops, and demanding that white folks cower in fear while they ravage everything white folks have worked their lives to build up-
ThaT’S the only ‘systemic racism’ I’m seeing these days- We’re NOT seeing mobs of white and black conservatives beating the crap out of black folks, out of black women, black elderly folks etc just for wearing attire they don’t agree with-
We’re NOT seeing white and black conservatives murdering cops out of sheer unhinged violent hatred-
We’re NOT seeing white and black conservatives hunting down black folks and shooting htem for simply being black or liberal- like the black folks and white self-loathing blm supporters are doign to us-
We’re NOT seeing mobs white and black conservatives burning down black folk’s businesses that they worked so hard ot establish all their lives
We’re NOT seeing white and black conservatives mobs smashing windows and looting stores of everything
We’re MOT seeing white and black conservatives yanking black people out of their vehicles and destroying the vehicles while beating the crap out of the black folks
The ONLY racism i see these days if black blm folks and white self-loathing antifa domestic terrorists as they violently bully and intimidate everyone they don’t like

But no mention of the fact that nearly every one of those hurt or killed were criminals who refused to listen to the commands of officers, and who put officers and civilians in harms way by brandishing weapons in many cases- and no mention of the fact that george floyd killed himself with a massive drug overdose
The CW aired the MTV Video Music Awards, which scored a 0.2 rating and 758,000 viewers for the network. The full VMA ratings picture will become clearer when the numbers for the other networks that carried it become available.
Fox aired reruns of its Animation Domination Sunday lineup, all of which scored a 0.2 rating. “The Simpsons” led the way in terms of total viewership with 809,000, followed by “Family Guy” with 774,000 and then “Bob’s Burgers” with 680,000.
