Russia's 'Sputnik V' COVID-19 vaccine, approved in the country last month, produced antibody response in all participants with no serious adverse events in small human trials, according to the first peer-reviewed results of the preventive published in The Lancet journal on Friday.
Results from early-phase non-randomised vaccine trials in a total of 76 people show that two formulations of the vaccine have a good safety profile detected over 42 days, and induce antibody responses in all participants within 21 days.
Secondary outcomes from the trial suggest the vaccines also produce a T cell response within 28 days, the researchers said.

I suspect this article in The Lancet is correct. However, one must never forget they published a hit piece on Hydroxychlorolquiniden that was totally bogus. The whole damn study was a lie and was done for political purposes. The Lancet did not use due diligence in checking the validity of the study. Many nations as a result stopped using HCQ and many tens of thousands died due to this.
The Lancet has blood on their hands due to either scientific incompetence or political objectives. I suspect the later as they rushed it to publication without looking at all the underlying data that in reality did not exist. There was no study, and it was all a lie. That study was a political hit pulled out of a political operatives ass and given to the Lancet that published it post haste.
The nicest thing that can be said of the Lancet is INCOMPETENCE. In the past the Lancet has been a journal of the highest standards. No standards were used by The Lancet relative to this bogus non study.
What really happened at The Lancet? As said above that bogus study published by The Lancet caused many nations to temporarily suspend the use of HCQ. Tens of thousands died because of this. I repeat, “The Lancet has blood on their hands.”

I forgot to add that when an article is given to the Lancet it is peer reviewed by men of much medical knowledge.
The article had outlandish claims about the dangers of HCQ that were lies. We have been using this drug for over 60 years. Its dangers are slight and well known. How in the hell could this article get past a peer reviewed board of most qualified docs.
I used this drug for a few years when I worked in Nigeria as it was a prophylactic for Malaria. If you do not want to catch Malaria take it. If you do not you will get Malaria.
The point of this is there are literally 100s of millions that have taken this drug around the world. Its safety profile is precisely known.
THE LANCET LIED BY OMISSION OF KNOWN MEDICAL FACTS.

And it is not because I do not trust the Russians or the Lancet. Or not only because of that.
Does Lancet, it’s editors, it’s employees or anyone involved with this study, have finacial ties to Russia? Asking for a friend.
Don’t dismiss the Russians too quickly. They have a lot of top notch scientists and they can do a lot with a little. They are smart and ornery as f**k.
That being said the have the political instincts of a manic depressive high on mushrooms and drunk as hell.
Russia, UK, USA, Israel and Communist China (and more countries) have doctors capable of making good vaccines. The science is not difficult (especially since this Virus is basically related to seasonal flu for which they already make vaccines each year). And they are working on vaccines for The Virus, too.
But as for me, I will wait for further testing, 78 patients is fine for a first trial but it is not nearly sufficient to ascertain both effectiveness and safety.
