He’s giving a whole new meaning to “Morning Joe.”
With just 40 days until the presidential election, Joe Biden’s campaign called a lid at the early hour of 9 a.m. Thursday — meaning the Democratic nominee won’t be holding any public events for the rest of the day.
Biden’s campaign blasted out the email at 9:20 a.m., announcing the 77-year-old Democratic nominee would spend the day hunkered down in the Wilmington, Delaware, home where he has been sequestered for much of the coronavirus pandemic.
His running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), also has no public events.

My Pol Sci major mind is asking why?
Did something come up that the campaign has to gameplan for? Something bad or something to feel they head off?
or is Joe just plain ‘ol fricking tired and confused and they need him off the trail for some sleep, Adderall, Aricept, etc?
I just strikes me as a bit odd that both Biden and Harris are off the campaign trail today.

Very strange the dnc must know that running a stealth campaign like Hillary did is not too effective
She spoke extemporaneously for about 30 minutes, and demonstrated her conservative values. Afterwards, I congratulated her, saying,
"In these past 30 minutes, you've spoken more to your constituents than Joe Biden has in the past two weeks."

Well heck yeah. With such a massive lead in the polls, why waste time and money. In fact, they should just go ahead and declare rip van byeDUHn and carmela ‘kneepad’ hVrris the winners now. Or not! And yet, I see yard signs for them. Not very damn many though. Our hood, probably 6 or 7 to 1 with PDJT in the lead. Of course in the “gentrified” part of town there are lots of byeDUHn/hVrris signs. As expected. Yes Virginia they do H8 Trump that much. (I think they secretly are hoping that byeDUHn croaks and ushers in the carmela reign.)
If you were to line up every single candidate since the late 1950s to 2016....they’d all tell you that not a single day would pass in the final hundred days that they weren’t out and doing a minimum of one speech...sometimes even three in one day.
To say that neither Joe or Harris is doing anything...it just begs more questions. I don’t think the campaign team has a plan in place, and it’s all dependent on Jill Biden and her feelings for the day.
He had to wake up an half hour before he went to bed just to have the time to quit work at 9am.

Slow Joe is at the “lay down in the nursing home bed, fill his depends, and smack down mushy pablum and green jello” stage.
In the back of my mind there is the possibility that he had a stroke last night and is either dead or permanently damaged. If so, they may need a day or two to decide how to play it.
Maybe the Dems don’t care what Biden does, or doesn’t do: they think they have the election already stolen and locked down...
Although I see it as a low possibility, there is the slightest chance that the Democrats are hoping for a landslide for Trump. Some unheard of total of the popular vote. They might even cheat with mail-in ballots to give Trump 75% of the vote total.
And then the media says, "Trump obviously cheated. Joe should be the president."
Hard to know why else the Dems would "campaign" so badly.
Lying in a crypt until election day gives new meaning to a low key campaign.
