President Donald Trump took swings at Chris Wallace days before the Fox News host is to moderate the first presidential debate – accusing Wallace of being 'controlled' by the left.
The president has long complained that he gets unfair treatment in debates, and his team spent months seeking to negotiate better terms as he prepares to face Democrat Joe Biden stage.
But with a prime-time clash set on dicey topics as the coronavirus, race, and social unrest, Trump opted to go after the moderator with the ability to sift questions and pursue follow-ups.
He'll ask me tough questions and it'll be unfair, I have no doubt about it,' Trump predicted. 'But he'll be controlled by the radical left. They control him,' he said in an interview with Fox & Friends cohost Brian Kilmeade on Kilmeade's radio show Thursday.
Trump went on to tout the ratings that Trump brought Wallace in their July interview.
'Chris likes me because his world is all about ratings,' Trump said.
'I would be willing to bet that he won't ask Biden tough questions,' he said.

He’s given Biden’s handlers the questions and answers. No way slo’jo’ could remember the questions or answers. for that matter he couldn’t read them if they were in front of him.
I cannot understand any Republican accepting Chris Wallace as a ‘moderator’. Simply baffling.
Trump should invite those guys to sit in front row .
Give them remote mics with the ability t cut in and override Wallace and ask their own questions or insist that Wallace ask Biden certain thinks
Why not make all questions public prior to the debate? It’s pretty obvious how fast each candidate can or cannot ‘think on his feet’ but such transparency would let each make their best case and remove any bias claims.
They do this every cycle! All presidential debates have been dominated by hard-core liberals. Why do we agree to this all the time?
Would any Democrat ever agree to a debate moderated by Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin or Sean Hannity?
Just putting Wallace on notice that he'd better not try to follow Donna Brazile's 2016 example in providing Hillary with the questions in advance. She was with CNN then but now is with Fox. On the other hand do you think she is giving Wallace pointers on what to ask?
I remember those debates between Romney and 0bama where the moderator Donna Brazil was correcting Romney on some data or whatever; talk about leftist collusion.

the debate reminds me of the Mike Tyson saying ‘everyone has a plan, until they get punched in the face’
no matter how many drugs Sleepy Joe takes, his condition will still be there and when he gets punched, he’ll start to lose it bad.
Wallace’s job is to carry Sleepy Joe, but that’s a tall order.
Yes. He’s setting these people up! He knows Biden can’t even handle softball questions. When Joe melts down after a couple of Trump broadsides, mission accomplished on national television.
