Sacramento Bee to abandon 2100 Q headquarters
The Desk ^ | Sep 25 2020 | Matthew Keys

The Sacramento Bee will leave its 2100 Q Street headquarters next summer, a move that is intended to help offset a decline in ad revenue, according to the newspaper’s regional editor.

The announcement was made on the Sacramento Bee’s website in a story surrounded by more than a dozen digital advertisements, some of which obscured the text of the article when they weren’t distractedly animated.

The move comes as many non-essential Sacramento Bee staff had been asked to work from home due to the ongoing coronavirus health pandemic.

Maybe the Bee should continue with the Partisan Media Shill campaign to spread DNC talking points about the necessity for universal house arrest, except of course for leftist rioters, vandals, and murderers.

I'm still old fashioned. It is a pleasure to hold a newspaper and read it. However, I absolutely can NOT stomach the BEE and I haven't subscribed for years, and have no plans to ever do so again. Good riddance.

If the MSM could learn to give the truth and facts they wouldn’t be bleeding to death.
No pity party for them they earned it the loss.

The Sacramento Bee and other McClatchy-owned newspapers have struggled in recent years thanks to a near-lethal cocktail of ad revenue shifting away from print products like newspapers and magazines toward social media platforms and other websites combined with a heavy pension obligation that saddled the company with millions of dollars in debt.

I guess this has nothing to do with this move.

Prior to the bankruptcy filing, McClatchy attempted to draw down some of its debt by laying off veteran journalists, consolidating and outsourcing editing responsibilities and reducing print output of its daily newspapers. None of those moves were mentioned in the statement put out by Gust-us on Thursday.

I wonder why?!

My wife is an addict to printed news.

Any time I mention hoping The State paper here in Columbia would go away, she gets mad.

Any business that has to move to save money is on life support. Wrap it in a blanket and make it comfortable while the doctors talk it over.

The Epoch Times, The Washington Times, and the Wall Street Journal (on its good days) is all I can stomach.

For years, I got the Sunday paper for the ads and coupons. That hasn’t happened for over five years, now.

I miss seeing some sales, but I am guaranteed savings by not buying the local paper, which is liberal.

The Washington Times

Too hard to load with all their internet ads. Don’t you have that problem?

All newspapers do these days is get your hands filthy while trying to fill your mind with lying filth.

At least if you use a tablet your hands won’t get dirty.
