I just received word that I am positive for COVID-19. I want to thank all of my friends and colleagues who have reached out to ask how I was feeling in the last day or two. I will be receiving medical attention today and will keep the necessary folks apprised of my condition.
Hopefully he recovers.
I know he is morbidly obese, but hopefully nothing else.
Testing positive for it is one thing; actually coming down with it is another. There are people who have it but have no symptoms.
A bit of a rant.
My company has some rather FREAKING STRICT (as in actionable discipline) rules on going to gatherings outside of work.
We just wrote up a guy who went to a big wedding, and was exposed to covid. Why? He put himself and his coworkers at risk. He is now on quarantine because a person at his table had it. That person also exposed a pregnant lady, a 90 year old, and at least four other people who have symptoms. Why? That person didn’t want to miss the wedding even though she had a fever.
So the GOP has been testing like mad, but not following common sense. Now the election campaign is in shambles IN OCTOBER because most of the power structure was at a large gathering, to close together.
If I did that, I would be fired the minute I got cleared of COVID for putting myself, my coworkers, and my company at risk.

Oaky, now this guy... he should probably be a little worried. His weight is a big issue.
All these people (including Trump) should have gotten their covid over with in the spring - the timing sucks!

What company controls your life outside of work?
Well one wonders if you will ever be allowed to do anything. Viruses circumnavigate the globe constantly. Some easier on the human race some harder.
The difference right now is simply that we have gone all in on this one particular one and have specific tests for it alone and are testing like mad. Its death rate appears to be less than one percent and mostly high risk people. Which is perfectly normal.

No. Cases don't randomly pop up in the population. They circulate among people who are exposed to one another. These folks all were at at the ACB reception or debate preparation. It is totally reasonable for one coworker to infect another, particularly if they aren't taking basic precautions like wearing masks or limiting in person interaction.
When is Michael Moore going to announce he has Covid ? Covid loves to feed on lard and there is a feast waiting to be had.
Christie lost weight but he’s still in the overweight category.
Hope he gets well soon. He helped President Trump with debate prep.
