Messianic Rabbi Shares Reaction to Huge Turnout for 'The Return’

This week, prolific author, Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn’s latest book “The Harbinger II: The Return,” remains on the New York Times bestsellers list — after debuting in the No. 4 slot on Sept. 10. Additionally, it appears on all major bookselling lists.

The Harbinger ll is a sequel to “The Harbinger,”Cahn’s 2011 first mega-hit that spent over 100 consecutive weeks as a NYT bestseller and among Amazon’s top 100 bestsellers for over six months.

If unfamiliar with Cahn, you might ask, “What is the topic of these two Harbinger books that many believe the NYT mistakenly lists as ‘fiction’?”

The answer: Bible-based warnings about the inevitable consequences that beset a nation when it has turned away from God. But for Cahn, his Harbinger books are more “non-fiction,” reflecting his firm belief that “a nation” is the United States of America and the signs that warned ancient Israel of coming judgment now appear in our land.

Then on Sept. 26 in Washington D.C. on the National Mall, Cahn, drawing upon his faith in Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew) as the Jewish Messiah  — Cahn leveraged his platform as a prophetic speaker and led an extraordinary 12-hour event — “The Return: National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance.”

For Cahn and his Return advisory board of Christian leaders, the planning for Sept. 26 began in March. But in August, evangelical leader Franklin Graham — building on The Return’s momentum — announced that he would lead a “Prayer March” from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol Building on the same day and time.

Both events simultaneously on the National Mall attracted crowds with estimates as high as 125,000. I saw many tens of thousands of people with my own eyes, but the size was severely downplayed by the mainstream media, such as this Washington Post headline:

“Prayer march draws thousands to the Mall seeking healing for the nation.”

The Post reported: “Two groups — one organized by New Jersey-based pastor and popular author Jonathan Cahn, the other led by Evangelist Franklin Graham — emphasized slightly different objectives but came with a shared focus central to many millions of Christian conservatives: repairing a country they say is in the midst of a spiritual crisis.”

Today, two weeks after The Return, the national “spiritual crisis” has not abated. However, Jonathan Cahn graciously agreed to answer my questions and share how God was at work on Sept. 26.

Myra Kahn Adams: Did The Return meet your expectations?

Jonathan Cahn: We are overwhelmed by what the Lord did at The Return. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. First, with the coronavirus, civil unrest, and a quarantine on Washington, we had no idea that many people would show up. But, when we saw the tens of thousands who had traveled across the country, even the world to be there, we were amazed.

MKA: The Return was also promoted as an off-site and online event. Do you have any streaming participation numbers?

JC:  Even more stunning to us were the numbers of people who virtually attended The Return throughout the nation and world. People were sharing and participating during the entire day in churches, homes, city-wide, and region-wide events not only in America but from Nigeria to Indonesia to Jerusalem. We know over 12 million people took part in numbers gathered from known and primary streaming sources. Moreover, with secondary and international platforms, in addition to broadcast television, we’ve been told viewership was tens of millions.

MKA: Do you know of any lives and faith journeys that were impacted by The Return?

JC: Thanks for asking that. Reports are flooding in from around America and the world about lives that have been changed. People in tears, people on their knees, people returning to the Lord, families weeping because a long-prayed for family member came to the Lord through The Return. And even reports of people being healed. Also gratifying is that we received a message from a well-known Orthodox Jewish rabbi in Israel who told us: “We’re watching The Return in Israel, and we’re shaking. We’re amazed!”

MKA: During The Return, the weather was cloudy. But during your most intense prayer, I saw the sun breakthrough. Can you tell readers more about that from your perspective on stage?

JC: There were unplanned “special effects.” As I was speaking, giving the Word to America, I kept hearing a sound growing louder and louder. People all over the world heard it as well. It was a rumbling, the sound of thunder, that matched the message and its intensity.  When I finished the message, I couldn’t hear it anymore. We all went down to our knees to pray in repentance. Many observers told me that as we prayed, the storm clouds broke open and the light of the sun came streaming through.

MKA: President Trump sent a prayer message that was shown on the jumbotrons. However, in our July interview, when I asked you about The Return’s timing in Washington so close to the election, you said in part:

“The Return is a spiritual event – not a political one. The point is return, repentance, and revival. That’s bigger than any political campaign.”

Care to comment?

JC:  Yes, during The Return, I led a prayer where we lifted our hands to the Capitol. We  prayed that God’s will be done in this coming election — along with issues of life, morality, and religious freedom — for America and the world.  We trust in God’s will. At the same time, we note that leaders and governments may not only function as vessels of God but as judgments. This election will be critical, and it may determine whether this nation seals its course for judgment or whether a window remains open for revival. Ultimately, we pray, “Thy will be done.”

MKA: The Return is over. What comes next?

JC: As to what will happen now, we know we did what we were called to according to the Hebrew Bible verse, 2 Chronicles 7:14.  We humbled ourselves, we prayed, we sought God’s face, and we repented for ourselves, for the Church, for America, for the nations. It is now in God’s hands. We know He will act.

Exactly how that manifests we shall see. But one manifestation has already been revealed: We are receiving requests from nations to hold The Return throughout the earth. Over seventeen different nations in the first week!

There is no such thing as a "Messianic Rabbi." This fellow is a Christian.

What the anti-Christ media won't report is that:

We (TheReturn Organizers) know over 12 million people took part in numbers gathered from known and primary streaming sources. Moreover, with secondary and international platforms, in addition to broadcast television, we’ve been told viewership was tens of millions."

In a similar vein, I can hear Egypt's ruling class and their lackey 'Royal News Criers' explaining away to the masses the exodus of 5 million Jews.

"Extra, extra ... let it be known that a few thousand Jewish slaves have gone to the desert to pray to their God but we expect them back very soon!" LOL!!

Yes there is! I see one every Shabbat! My congregation is celebrating Sukkot, as well as all the other appointed times in Leviticus 23.

Mr. GG2 is a messianic Jew. They believe Christ is the Messiah but they are still Jews by definition. They follow the Jewish laws and prophecies.

I watched about 15 minutes of the “return” as it was live streaming.

Egads, the spectacle looked more like the point of no return.

People don’t even know to be embarrassed.

At least you asked!

I posted to Phinneous who would know the references, so I didn't explain them.

The main route through the "Body of Christ" is 358:

Could someone have selected that highway number on purpose? I don't know. Maybe, but seems a bit of a stretch.

The Book of Esther contains 167 verses and is famous for all the hidden mysteries known and yet to be discovered. Purim is known as the "flipped over story" because it all ended up contrary to the expectations of Haman & Sons, Inc. "Venahafoch hu". Therefore, flipping 761 to 167 coordinates with the concept of the plotline.

The name Esther plays off of both meanings of "star", and "hidden", thus "Megillat Esther" (the scroll of Esther) is alternatively seen as the "revealing of the hidden", as the word for a scroll derives from the same root as the words rolling and unrolling (galah), and also revelation (galui). A scroll (megillah) is a "galil" - a cylinder so to speak. Same as the word Galilee.

Esther is connected to Psalm 22 because the line quoted by Jesus on the cross -

"My God my God, why have You forsaken me?"-

Involves a tradition that King David prophetically composed the psalm for Esther so she could rely on it for comfort during her long, isolated time in the palace of the gentile king, unable to reveal her identity.

As an aside, a common theme out there for the identification of a Jew - often within humorous contexts - is that the Jew is the one who is always asking questions. Why this, why that... That's why I wonder if Mordecai's instruction to her to not tell anyone who she was, was, "Whatever you do, don't ask any questions! 'Cause you know it would be a dead giveaway!"

Hmmm. And then I read through the story looking for Esther asking any questions and nada, until she revealed her relationship to Mordecai.

Esther 8:6 For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

I also noticed that the kingdom of 127 provinces ran from Hodu to Cush - which was from India to Ethiopia. Kind of like saying from bad to worse. :)

As far as the 286 I don't want to spoil the excitement, but a closely-related idea (which alludes to the answers) comes from Adam Rutherford's volume 2 of his 4-volume Pyramidology. Regardless of the man's theology or date-settings based on his oddly-precise measurements of stones of the Great Prymid (to how many decimal points can anyone measure blocks of stone? Reminds me of the bit about accuracy vs. precision), the data is what it is. He glommed on to "286" as a vision of displacement and rectification (tikkun). No sense throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

When I typed the following out a while back, it was because I could not find it online. Otherwise I'd just provide a link. It's worth the read for the concepts, plus I would not be surprised if Joseph (the visionary accountant of the family) had a great view from his office.

It really is way too long to post, so I'll have to stick with some excerpts from the chapter (Book II pgs. 249-257):

Chapter II
The Great Pyramid's Rectification Factor

The Mystery of Ancient Messianism Unfolded

If there exists in the Great Pyramid a geometric factor which completely counteracts the Displacement Factor, it means that the Pyramid contains the key to the World's problems, the means adequate to rectify this "displaced" world, and bring it into perfect tune with the Infinite.

A completely compensatory factor must one of necessity be one of precisely the same dimension as that of the Displacement Factor, but with a directly opposite function, thus having the potential of eliminating the displacement. As the Displacement Factor is a minus or negative dimension of 286 inches, an effective rectifying factor would require to be a plus or positive dimension of 286 inches. In other words, the Displacement Factor is -286 inches, so a rectifying factor would require to be +286 inches. (see Diagram, p. 282.)

The secret to the solution of the Great Pyramid's exterior symbolism lies in the discovery of the rectification of the Pyramid's displacement feature. When we have ascertained how this rectification is effected, we will have discovered how that which is out of harmony with the perfect will of the Almighty will be brought into line and how this chaotic world will be brought into tune with the Infinite.

So we must explore the Pyramid in search of a factor of 286 inches associated, not with contraction, deficiency, eccentricity and imperfection, as is the Displacement Factor, but with the opposite, that is, with expansion, enlargement and uplift. When we find this, then we shall know by what power the evil in this World can be completely removed and how the Lord's Prayer shall be answered and God's will done on earth as it is in Heaven.

We find this desired factor in two connections in the Pyramid; the first reveals what the power is that can rectify the world, the second reveals how it must and will be applied in order to bring about the desired result - the elimination of humanities' "displacement" with the consequent abolition of everything on our planet that is out of harmony with the perfect Divine will and law. The first is in the Pyramid's interior, the second on its exterior design.

From the Chart of the Passages and Chambers of the Great Pyramid on the Frontispiece, Book I (and reproduced following p. 494) it will be observed that of the two ascending passages, the First Ascending Passage is very low, whilst the second ascending passage, the Grand Gallery, into which the former leads, is very high. Whilst the floor of the Grand Gallery continues on in line with that of the First Ascending Passage, the roof at the entrance into the Grand Gallery is suddenly lifted up higher to the extent of 286 inches.

But there is no eccentricity, deficiency, imperfection or contraction here; on the contrary it is 286 inches up uplift, expansion, enlargement. In other words, here is what we are looking for, a factor of equal dimension but with an opposite function to the Displacement Factor and hence capable of compensating it and, if applied, of eliminating it. Hence we have named this factor the Rectification Factor. (See diagrams, pp. 251, 284, 421.)

But it will be observed that this Rectification Factor appears right over the spot where the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth over nineteen centruries ago is portrayed by the representation of the rock tomb burst open as if by tremendous power from within, heaving up the roof, as it were, through seven great tiers of stone to the extent of 286 inches.

Thereby the Great Pyramid reveals that the mighty power of the resurrected Jesus is the one great and only power adequate to rectify this poor World, deliver it from all its ills and bring about that ultimate perfection required by the great Creator. In agreement with this the Bible says, in Romans 4:25 that Jesus "was raised again [from the grave] for our justification" (Greek , a setting right or rectification) and ascended "into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us (Hebrews 9:24).

>>>

Since all the courses of masonry in the entire Pyramid are short of the complate design to the extent of the Displacement Factor in the perimeter, it follows that the crowning platform was also 286 inches short in circuit. But, as the Top-Piece, "the Chief Corner Stone" represents the Christ in whom is no imperfection or "displacement, there could be no Displacement Factor found in it. Hence, as the course of masonry forming the platform at the prescribed level for the Top-Piece to rest upon was contracted to the extent of the Displacement Factor, it was consequently 286 inches too small in circuit to receive the perfect Top-Piece. Had the Top-Piece been placed it would of course have overhung the edges of the platform all the way around, hence it was rejected by the builders, even as Christ, the symbolic "Top-Stone" was "the Stone which the builders rejected", for he did not fit in to fallen man's ideas.

>>>

The Pre-eminence of the Rectification Factor in the "Top-Stone" should be carefully noted. We observed that the circuit of the square summit platform, as built, was 2002.7 Pyramid inches, hence that of the base of the perfect "Top=Stone" would be 286.1 inches more than that, namely 2288.8 Pyramid inches, whilst from the center of the "Top-Stone's" base to the sides would be 286.1 inches; that is to say that the distance from the centre out to each of the four sides, which face due north, south, east and west respectively is, in every case, 286.1 inches.
But there is no displacement, deficiency or contraction in the perfect "Top-Stone"; on the contrary, the 286.1 inches expand out from the centre to all the four cardinal points of the compass. It is thus the Rectification Factor that radiates out in all directions, thus revealing its universal application to all the ends of the earth.

***

Like the stars:

286 x 4 = 1144 = "Megillat Esther" and also the name Mordecai spelled out in full (the letters as their words).

And to tie back to the beginning point at Corpus Christi, 1144 = the Resurrection of Jesus [].

The Apostle John is identified as the disciple Jesus loved, or even the one Jesus loved following because the KJV dangles a participle.

I wondered why that was and noticed that John was the Joe Friday of the bunch, not given to the popular interpretation on the street but focused on just the facts. Wrote them down. It could explain why he was the one given the Revelation (discovery, unveiling) of Jesus Christ, and even why he was relegated to Patmos. Not a team consensus believer. The Gospel of John and thus the four books end on this note:

John 21

20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Ha, eyes glazing over indeed. Crazy day. Your reply on this thread (about "seeing none of it") matched what I had said in a recent post on another thread, so that's the one I though you were responding to. My apology.

Gotta laugh, especially at myself! :)

Eh, nothing's by accident anyway.

As per the post you were asking about...

The scene was a bizarre spectacle of how far down the hole people have been led by the sham-wow preacheratti, thinking that those folks have any clue about anything.

Maybe it's all the collective feasting on the doctrines of weird, or a game of telephone 2000 years on.

It's got to be out there on video to watch on Youtube.

Excellent point!!

Just like in the NT, where SO many places quote or refer to a place in the OT, audience THEN knew what was being alluded to without explanation.

So many today try to understand the bible without understanding the backstory; so to speak.

Words change in meaning over time, and customs and rituals evolve.

Even today; certain words mean different things in different cultures.

In this country; white folks had best not use the "N" word or ELSE while black folks can banter it back and forth all day without a care in the world.

It would have helped if I had put that reply on the correct thread, haha. It was all a jumble. I had thought you were asking about this post.

Normally I try to include explanations for anyone who might be reading, or I will link key words, but the post was just some observations about the place name "Corpus Christi" and the basic numbers/imagery on its own map, which the addressee would have recognized.

To explain one more item on the 761 list, "the sefirot" is the Tree of Life schematic of 10 emanations, spheres.

Regardless of anyone's religious beliefs, it is simply a fact that "the Sefirot" [הספירות] (the particularly "famous" representation/pattern WRT primordial man, Adam Kadmon) has the same sum as "Corpus Christi" - the "body of Christ" city in the living world whose main highway is 358 and the verticle beam of the cross-diagram highways. 358 = "Messiah".

Also 761 is "great is teshuvah" (teshuvah means repentance, lit. RETURN, so it really does fit on this thread).

There are others. I'm an observer of numbers, icons, symbols, logos, words, puns et al, and how they play off of each other and intersect in weird ways that no one could make up. Just what it all is for the seeing. Like the FACE mnemonic on the musical staff. The Hebrew term for the "space between the lines" (it's noted on the Hebew wiki page for the musical staff) is "beinah" (a form of between), but the spelling is also the same as for the word binah, "understanding." It's the simple meaning: what's between the lines.

Jacob saw the face of God and said his life (soul, nefesh) was preserved, so there's flexibility "in between" in being able to survive to tell the tale.

Peniel.. Penuel.. eh why not Pun-iel because he made a pun, and a pun is all about tossing and turning things around in weird ways to milk multiple perspectives (faces) for all they are worth. To get a laugh. Peniel is the birthplace of the name Israel.

"Penuel" [פנואל] is also the location of the "first Noel" [נואל], where that word first shows up in a word in the Torah. Otherwise appears in the name Immanuel [עמנואל].

Hopefully on occasion I will inspire people to look around outside the confines of the heavy-handed approved thinking models, and catch that every detail everywhere has to be orchestrated from above, because... dang. :)

Funny stuff, too. How about that "new" frog species discovered in some obscure place that's a dead ringer for Kermit?

God works in mysterious (and truly humorous) ways. Wait til the Ark of the Covenant is discovered. It's one of the biggest mysteries on the planet, yet everyone knows where it is! :)

Exodus 3

7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey [761]; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
