ABC News Calls Kyle Rittenhouse ‘Alleged White Supremacist,’ Cites Joe Biden’s False Claim

ABC News referred to Kyle Rittenhouse as an “alleged white supremacist” in a report last week, despite the fact that the 17-year-old has no known ties to white supremacism.

ABC justified the label by citing former Vice President Joe Biden, who has suggested Rittenhouse is a white supremacist in a campaign ad — and who faces a possible defamation lawsuit as a result.

The Daily Wire flagged the ABC report, which said:

Rittenhouse, an alleged white supremacist accused of killing two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in the wake of an officer-involved shooting, appeared via Zoom for an Illinois hearing where his attorney contested the teen’s extradition to Wisconsin to face homicide and other charges in connection with the August shootings.

That is exactly what our media has done at least throughout the Trump era. Media A prints something like, .... sources say that Trump did some awful thing.... Every other lib media and all over the internet is then written, ....according to media A, Trump did some awful thing....

It seems that everyone but the original story creator (liar) is legally protected because they are not claiming personal knowledge. They are just reporting that media A said something, which it did.

In this Internet age there could be hundreds of different reports about this lie which are available forever upon an Internet search. It is insidious. It is horrible.

Without the hour long video with Nick Sandmann, there would have been no lawsuits against CNN, etc.

So... ABC News is publicly stating that anyone can accuse their staff and executives of being child rapists and white supremacists as long as they add "alleged" in front of it. Good to know.
