Last week, the New York Post published a dubious story about Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic presidential nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden.
The Post story claims Hunter Biden helped arrange a meeting between Joe Biden and an executive at a Ukrainian energy company Burisma in April 2015. The series of stories contained hacked materials and personal email addresses, so Twitter (TWTR) initially prevented people from posting links to the article, sending it via direct message and retweeting it.
As CNN's Chief Media Correspondent Brian Stelter noted on "Reliable Sources" Sunday, "We are not talking about fully reliable sources here," referring to the New York Post's story.
Yet the story behind the story is a familiar one: The Post said it was tipped off to the story by former Trump Administration staffer and former head of Breitbart Steve Bannon. A hard drive containing the emails was supplied by former New York Mayor and Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, according to the Post. (Giuliani incidentally has openly coordinated with a known Russian agent to promote disinformation about the Bidens.) A former producer for Sean Hannity's Fox News show co-wrote some of the stories for the Post. Giuliani then went on Fox News to discuss the story, and President Donald Trump has been tweeting and discussing it for days.
CNN hasn't been able to authenticate emails and the New York Post declined to comment.
"This is a classic example of the right-wing media machine," Stelter said. "Fox and Trump have this in common: They want you to stay mad and stay tuned."
The story is a "manufactured scandal," Stelter said, meant to feed "whataboutism" -- an opportunity for the right-wing media to shift the conversation from Trump's record to Biden's.

Not going to click on it, not going to read it and yet, I bet I could recite the article word for word. Call it a hunch
Its been said on twitter but Stelter really does look like a potato
So, this is Big Media’s pattern -
any accusation against a Democrat is immediately labelled “suspect”, “unverified”, or “political propaganda”
any accusation against a Republican is immediately labelled as true and verified
quite simple, really
I like how the link has “CNN Fake News” has a subtitle. They could just roll with that title and the lemmings that follow them would continue doing so.
Lol how are his own emails dubious?
No need to read further
RIGHT on CUE
NYtimes , NYmag and now CNN
Ha ha ha... just look at that little child, isn’t he cute, saying that he didn’t eat the cookies and the cookie crumbs all over his mouth... Just so adorable... Now suffer, you lying bastards.
This is like watching full grown adults trying so hard to believe in Santa Claus when they know he doesn’t exist. Braindead Brian Stelter knows in his gut Joe Biden and the Democrats are corrupt as sin, but he’s trying so hard to wish this fact away.
This from the network that ran 24/7 with false derogatory statements the President made about the troops. Did they verify that statement?
.... The mountains of corroborating evidence is mounting ..... For a change ...
“Dubious” is the term of the week the enemedia will be parroting to defend Biden. I guess they get their orders with these terms direct from the DNC and are too stupid to come up with synonymous terms.
FReeper Friends,
I got an email about the Hunter Biden emails and need some help to understand it. It explains below how the emails got into the hands of Giuliani and the New York Post. Asking for a friend.
1) Hunter Biden puts his computer into a repair shop.
2) Knowing this through their extensive spy network, and wanting to help Trump win the 2020 election, the Russians break into the repair shop and steal Bidens computer without the repair shop noticing.
3) Then the Russians add what looks to be real emails that are very incriminating to both Hunter and Joe Biden, but are really just bogus. They also see some of Hunters collection of kiddie porn but take no action other than to make copies for themselves.
3) The Russians return the computer to the repair shop, again without the repair shop noticing.
4) The Russians, knowing that if Biden doesnt pick up the computer it will become the property of the repair shop, use their extensive spy network and slip a forget it drug into Hunter Bidens drink at a fancy cocktail party which makes him forget all about the computer.
5) At about the same time, the Russians, again through their extensive spy network, slip the repair shop owner a remember it drug into his beer at a backyard barbeque party.
6) The repair shop owner remembers that the computer Hunter Biden had left for repair some time before has now been abandoned and realizes that it now belongs to him, so he looks at the content of the computer. He sees the kiddie porn but also sees the bogus emails that smell to him a lot like corruption at a very high level. But the shop owner is merely a useful idiot to the Russians, not a sophisticated journalist from the New York Times who would have immediately realized the emails are bogus.
7) The ever-watchful Russians then slip an idea drug into the shop owners next beer, and so he decides to let the FBI know about the kiddie porn and contacts Rudy Giuliani about the emails.
8) Rudy Giuliani, being an operative for Donald Trump, the Nazi president who the Russians helped steal the 2016 election from our dear Hillary, contacts the New York Post, an unsophisticated far-right newspaper which publishes the bogus emails as fact.
9) The Russians slip “Sit on it drugs” to everyone in the FBI.
.... Well .... Now we know Hunter Biden wears dental veneers .... Just sayin’ ....
You can be sure that CNN and NY Times got a copy of Hunters hard drive from the FBI the day it was turned over.
The “sit on it drug” was designed by Anson Williams. Little known fact...
I’m throwing up just reading the headline!
