Rush has long said that polls are propaganda until the last week or so of the campaigns. Then, they begin to get closer to the truth in order to maintain a modicum of credibility.

At first the posters try to suppress the red vote by showing the Democrat up. Then as the election draws near they have to make it more accurate or they will look like idiots. And not be believed the next election cycle

The problem with the Real Clear Politics poll average (a good idea actually) is that it suffers from a well known and well documented problem:
GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT
If you average polls designed for propaganda purposes rather than for estimating how a given election will turn out you might just as well make it up. That costs less but you get the same result: GARBAGE.

I liked RCP at the beginning. Tom Bevan sent out for money and I sent $50. Did not even get an email saying thank you.

Even polls where dems are vastly overcounted..if it’s going in the right direction...that’s good news
I was talking about real clear investigations, not real clear politics.
They have done some serious investigative journalism over there, come out with stories revealing facts not found elsewhere.
The meta poll doesn’t mean much. I never look at it. But I do look at his site to click on “latest polls”, that’s a handy resource.
