Fox News Channel had a great market niche: half of the country, as the late Roger Ailes and Charles Krauthammer both quipped. For reasons that only can be speculated on, the network that once was a safe harbor for conservatives navigating the Trump-hating media seas, discarded its lock on half of the market. First, its “Decision Desk” prematurely called Arizona for Biden, though a recount continues with Biden’s lead shrinking every day, and then on Saturday, 10 minutes after CNN and MSNBC, it went all-in on selling the fake news that Joseph Robinette Biden was “elected.”
Speaking for myself, my sense of affiliation with Fox News has been destroyed. They are selling what I believe to be a stolen election long before the constitutional processes to safeguard a presidential election have been followed.
Yesterday, 8 days late, Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum both broadcast brief acknowledgements from the “Decision Desk” that it had blown its call that Democrats would enlarge their House majority. Interestingly, the waited until they felt they could “call” that Democrats would retain their majority before acknowledging their error. And they offered no explanation at all as to how they could have been so wrong.
President Trump is not pleased, and has tweeted about FNC’s subsequent ratings decline:
.@FoxNews daytime ratings have completely collapsed. Weekend daytime even WORSE. Very sad to watch this happen, but they forgot what made them successful, what got them there. They forgot the Golden Goose. The biggest difference between the 2016 Election, and 2020, was @FoxNews! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 12, 2020

Kill Fox!
Wow.....that’s tragic
Straight to the bottom FOX.....you earned.
They take an anti gaslighting audience and try to gaslight them. The formula alone clinched that theyll velvet get that audience back. The commentators are sealing it individually for their futures. What a mess
Gold and silver spiked after the election and then started dropping quite a bit. It’s spiking again.
Ultimately I think it will have the mother of spikes when the price inflation resulting from the raining down of trillions from the skies kicks in.
Can’t say I’m surprised. I’ve already dropped them.
A little bit more impactful than a couple of Chick-fil-A sandwiches, huh?
Trump supporters are being told to sit down, shut up and stop asking questions,
...... in effect, forced to submit to the new ruler by his salivating acolytes.
The Constitution, of course, does not specify the media, Hollywood, Democrat activists,
Fox News, pollsters or the Fortune 500 as determiners of our presidential election.
Americans have in place: (A) a rule of law, (B) specific legally prescribed mechanisms, and, (c) deadlines to move forward.
The media has shamed itself to ever being trusted again.
Socialism comes at a very high price
Faux News, as it had to be.
I wouldn’t touch share of Fox at any price. They will go out. And the one Murdock brother can treat his wife life the profit killing whore she is. “See what we did” indeed.
Fox are grifters, just like the rest of the GOPe......Fox is to Conservative viewers what Paul Ryan was to the Tea Party
I tolerated Juan Williams and Donna Brazille. I loathed Chris Wallace and Neil Cavutos continuous snarky comments. After the election, Wallace and Cavuto started being aggressively hostile to their conservative viewers. Life is too short to listen to something that annoys me. Good luck to Fox in running their network on part of the Dim pie that is left over after all the other networks pull their share.
Only 12%?
Sell it short.
They ain’t turning this ship around anytime soon.
A very telling take by this editor - why not position it as "an opportunity to fill a need in the over crowded sphere of left wing news."
Rhetorical question, I know.....
Simple, fact of life.....Fox News Corporation is toast....sorry..no, burnt toast. They must want to sell it at a bargain price. It is not worth one cent!!!
What is Fox? Is this referring to the small woodland creature that runs around in my yard from time to time.
