Georgia RECOUNT is a dirty joke. They are just re-counting with fraud ballots INCLUDED in the pile of Ballots WITHOUT AUDIT of legality of ANY ballot in the pile.

Yeah I know, but we have plenty of monkeys. Of course, that’s an insult to monkeys.

Thanks, I didn’t know that about Honduras. I’ve been to Nicaragua and Costa Rica and would have thought it was more of the same sort of nonsense.

Some American poster here was married to a Honduran woman and observed their election first hand while she voted. He posted a detailed description of it. I had his post filed but got deleted from my archive.

So what did you think of Costa Rica & Nicaragua? I heard with so many American retirees Costa Rica is no longer as cheap as it once was.

Well its been a while, maybe 15 years, but here goes.

The west coast of Costa Rica is lovely. Fewer bugs than the east, more resorts, nice beaches, and nice people.

Food was ok. Lots of jungle (somewhat cooler in the mountains) if you like wildlife like monkeys and birds. Not my thing. Didn’t spend much time in San Jose, it appeared to have high population density, relatively lower productivity and higher crime than the coast.

Nicaragua. You, know there is a river that divides the border between the two countries, at least where I was. I was told by Costa Ricans that those who are trigger happy apply to be border patrol so they can practice at night at the Nicaraguans who try to swim across. They are a highly effective deterrent.

The minute you cross the border into Nicaragua from Costa Rica you see trash everywhere, on the streets, sidewalks and people’s fenced in yards. They just let go of it. Nothing grows. Animals are not well fed, what there are of them. Overgrazing is rampant.

Central Granada had nice Spanish architecture and a decent museum. They let us use the bathroom at the best hotel in town if we bought a drink. We were on a tour and they kept us close in a group and encouraged us to shop at the tourist shopping area (leather goods, some artwork) which was thankfully aggressively patrolled by the tourist police. It had decent wares, at reasonable prices. I’m sure you could do better at other places but I wasn’t about to risk it.

I was pleased to return home safely, and saw no further need to return.
