Anyone remember a spoof on the news program called THAT WAS THE WEEK THAT WAS (1964)? Broadcast in color it was quite popular with those owning color TVs. We did not have a color TV till the 1970s.
The closing song was...”That was the week that was-it’s over let it go...”
Similar to “Not Necessarily The News” on HBO in the 1980s.
That Was the Week That Was had the singer Nancy Ames. For an adolescent male, an added element of interest.
Her bio: Ames is the beautiful blonde folksinger and songwriter who is best known for being the That Was the Week That Was (1964) (aka TW3) girl, the only cast member to appear in all episodes during both seasons of the program. She recorded thirteen albums and co-wrote, with Mason Williams, the theme to The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour (1967).
Wasn't that the David Frost show? Several Monty Python members got their start writing for that show.
Yes, I remember the title very well, and it seems like the show was pretty good, but that’s vague.
