One of the great struggles of my youth was to convince my dad to buy a color tv. It was a total failure. His first color set was the one I gave him when I upgraded.
Remember the scare at the time that Color TVs gave off radiation and you might get caner from it?
I remember an old man who would not go near a color TV for that reason.
