I found this at Patterico’s (gag, he’s a virulent anti-Trumper) web-site from 2005 about the adoptions:
When CJ Roberts does not rule the way certain people think he should, they trot out the illegal adoption excuse, or the “he’s gay” excuse (with the obligatory “gay” picture). That should give you an idea of the intellectual prowess (it’s not much) of those posting those things.
What these intellectual superpowers fail to explain is how, if blackmail is being used, can it be effective if almost everyone on FR knows about it, along with a bunch of other web-sites mentioning it? Blackmail needs a modicum of secrecy to be effective.
Much of it was “sanitized”.

Unfortunately, 99% of America has a short memory, even to remember Roberts’ blackmail about his illegally-adopted Irish kids. I once had high hopes for him on SCOTUS.
