This and the sequel are favorites of my soon to be four year old grandson. Mom (our daughter) has lost count of the number of times he's watched them.
The cameo appearance of President Trump in the first one is kind of cool.

“I always thought HA was lame.”
I would rather watch HA because it had a good genuine message about it. Would you rather watch leftard fag crap in today’s movies??
HA is for the parents and kids. The true guys in the family watch Die Hard in another room. Actually we vote around this time of the year and TOMBSTONE comes next after Die Hard.

I don't watch ABC, but last night I changed the channel to ABC and they had on The Sound of Music as a Christmas movie. Although I had already seen in (naturally) plus I have the 45th Anniversary DVD.
BTW the original version was shown in German Movie theaters in 1956 and was titled "Die Trapp Familie" (The Trapp Family) Staring Ruth Leuwerick as Maria Von Trap
When I grew up in Germany Ruth Leuwerick was my favorite German Actress. (Tony Curtis was my favorite American Actor)

Nor mine. To qualify as a “favorite” (IMHO) it needs to be one that bears watching multiple times. For me that pretty much means: “A Christmas Story” (You’ll shoot your eye out) and “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

So we waited, paid our dues, received a knowing nod of approval from dad, and speed-walked downstairs to the “rec room,” which had the television, the VCR, and the only kid-friendly VHS tape my grandparents had in stock: “Home Alone.”Man, how old am I.... I have seen VCRs and video cassettes come and go. Not to mention laserdiscs.... and even to a large extent DVDs and BluRays.... And movies I have seen in theaters (remember theaters?) are now showing on TCM....
