Gun grab sparks 'Defund ATF' movement
Washington Examiner ^ | December 19, 2020 | Paul Bedard,

They are the strongest opponents of defunding the police, but now, conservatives are carving out an exception — the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Long considered anti-gun, the agency has provoked alarm with Second Amendment advocates due to the agency’s recent targeting of gunmakers, including a raid this month on a producer of so-called "ghost guns" and this week’s targeting of AR-15-style pistols.

With President-elect Joe Biden poised to unleash new gun control measures, fears are heightened that ATF will be the tip of the spear.

Marjorie Taylor Greene ... 10 years ago today, U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered in cold blood with a gun provided to Mexican drug cartels through Barack Obama and Eric Holder's ATF "Fast & Furious" program.

The ATF is an oppressive government agency that should be DEFUNDED and ELIMINATED!

To fight that, some conservatives are now calling for the defunding of the ATF. Outspoken gun advocate Rep.-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene has put the agency in her crosshairs.

“The ATF is trying to shut down American companies and put good people out of work. Not only is this an attack on small businesses, but the Constitution itself,” she told us, adding, “I’m headed to D.C. to cut government, not expand it, and the ATF is at the top of my list.”

Gun Owners of America Senior Vice President Erich Pratt said that the agency’s move this week to consider outlawing some AR pistols after endorsing them for years demands scrutiny.

“This ATF is simply out of control,” Pratt said. “This agency — which shouldn’t exist in the first place — is not held accountable for its actions, and honest gun owners who are being turned into criminals are paying the price.”

The National Rifle Association is also raising concerns that the agency is eager to team up with the Biden-Harris team to squeeze gun owners more.

IF ever there was alphabet agency just reeking to be defunded, it would be these keystone-cop, jack-booted thugs.

I recall reading in Wayne Lapierre’s book “Guns, Crime, and Freedom” and it mentioned that back in about 1980 or thereabouts, there was serious discussion about abolishing that agency altogether.

ATF is not “police”. They are Stasi. Unintended Consequences.

The ATF is NOT local law enforcement.

They are a ROGUE AGENCY, famous for killing people for minor infractions of UNCONSTITUTIONAL laws.

Yes! Long long overdue to terminate illegal agencies especially those that dare send out armed agents against American citizens.

If the pretender is illegally sworn in they will move on all of their fronts so fast that we won’t recognize our country within one year.

Hard choices and sacrifices are coming.

They are already here.

Anyone that thinks the there is a chance that ATF will be defended is just stupid. Republicans or Dems, doesn't matter. The ATF isn't going anywhere.

All of the federal government is like that.

EPA - dictating how much water a toilet uses per flush. What lightbulb you use...

FAA - telling folks that are healthy that they cannot have a medical and fly because they used a medicine to deal with depression 1.5 years ago.

DEA - regulating frigging nasal decongestants... A few years past medical professionals pushed narcotics for pain, now if you go into a hospital they are reluctant to administer them even if you have a kidney stone and are in horrible pain.

TSA -

ATF -

IRS -

DOJ -

Our government is “out of control.”

50 volumes of Federal Code
23,000+ pages
Double sided
Double Column
Size 10 font
3,000 various offenses

You have 15 different government agencies writing “regulations” which basically are the law of the land.

The average citizen breaks 3 laws before they are at work, not counting speeding.

America is a technocracy. Where you have a small group of government “experts,” an elite, bureaucratically run the entire country with near totalitarian powers. You don’t have freedom in America! Hell, not even Russia closed their churches like this country did after some government clown “fauci” suggested or insinuated it.

We have to start running for sheriff, then arrest any federal goon that sets foot in our jurisdiction...

And have someone ready to take over in the wings should they take us out for doing so.

“Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms” should be the name of a convenience store, not a government agency.

“Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.”

Here in NV there are a number of stores that sell all three. So refreshing.
