SHREVEPORT, La. — Congressman-elect Luke Letlow has died after contracting COVID-19 last week, according to his campaign manager Andrew Bautsch.
Letlow, who just turned 41, was getting treatment in the intensive care unit in Shreveport, according to an announcement on his Twitter page last week.

Edwards will not fill the seat with a Democrat. There will be a special election for Letlow’s seat - probably in Spring 2021.

No, he’ll need to schedule a special election to fill the seat. Since it’s a safe Republican seat, he may take his sweet time.
In Louisiana they first hold a “jungle” primary in which all parties can participate. If no candidate in the primary exceeds 50% of the vote (and none will) then the top two finishers go to a runoff to select the Congresscritter.
I think it’s silly to make such a snap judgment.
People are all different. I’ve known people of the same age who dropped dead from heart problems that had never been suspected.

Very few people suggest this is a fake virus.
What is fake is that we shut down our lives, our economy, and everything because of this novel virus. We did not do this when we faced similar novel viruses like SARS, MERS, etc., and that is only because the bad Orange Man wasn’t in the White House when those new viruses were discovered.
Please reconsider your slam on those of us who are vehemently opposed to the lockdowns and mandates under the false pretense that we can protect each other from something that can only be seen with an electron microscope.

ccp virus is an equal opportunity killer. Maybe he had type A blood? Maybe an undiagnosed heart issue. Maybe he had prolonged exposure to someone carrying a large viral load. CCPVirus doesn’t discriminate.
When you return to your car from being in public, use hand sanitizer before touching the steering wheel. If you take public transportation, use a lot of hand sanitizer. After you return home Wash yer hands, and yer face, and change your clothes and shoes to ‘inside clothes’. There’s not much else you can do, really. Besides social distancing and not swapping spit.

It's becoming shocking seeing such a death as this one given all the advancements in treatment protocols.
Yesterday, somebody posted a link to A Guide to Home-Based COVID Treatment. As we know, not all doctors in the US are on-board with the treatment protocols. As this document points out, you need to find a doctor NOW who will administer these protocols even though key elements are missing the Randomized Controlled Trial studies. The document points out we are in a difficult situation and doctors need to use what works by trial, not necessarily waiting until the RCTs are all completed and results wrapped up in a neat package. You should print this document out (or the similar one by EVMS) and keep it handy as well as instruct your loved ones on what should be done if you get sick.
