SHREVEPORT, La. — Congressman-elect Luke Letlow has died after contracting COVID-19 last week, according to his campaign manager Andrew Bautsch.
Letlow, who just turned 41, was getting treatment in the intensive care unit in Shreveport, according to an announcement on his Twitter page last week.

Brief excerpt: “Even though all-cause mortality due to COVID-19 may not be known for a while, two new studies highlight that 173,300 (79.5%) of excess deaths from March through August were COVID related, with 4,535 deaths occurring from March through July in younger adults ages 25 to 44, or 38% of all excess deaths in that group.
Data from the latter study helped inspire a New York Times editorial by the likely next director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and her colleagues, who tried to dispel the myth that the disease is not deadly in younger adults.
The first study, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, found that almost 220,000 excess deaths occurred between March and August, even after adjusting for a growing and aging US population. The second study, a JAMA research letter, reported that COVID-related deaths in young adults exceeded opioid overdoses, a leading cause of death in this age-group, in 20% of US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regions during the first half of the pandemic.
As the Annals researchers write, though, “Estimating the true burden of COVID-19 will require continued monitoring of excess deaths by cause. It’s not a fake virus, bit it is a fake pandemic. With fake prescribed preventatives, like masks, 6-foot distancing, school closures, business shutdowns, and staying inside.
It’s a cold. Not even a bad cold if you’re under 60. But people do sometimes die from a cold each year. Just happens.
Around 1 in 100 of all people die from any cause every year, period. Nobody gets out of here alive. Around 1 in 10,000 die from a cold. It’s so normal they just lump them into a group with flu and pneumonia deaths.
Your calculation is incorrect.
340,000 divided by 20 million equals 1.7% - not 1.2%.
You also need to use the TOTAL infection rate.
The CDC estimates that the TOTAL number of COVID infections is 2X to 4X times higher than the number of confirmed infections (20 million).
If 2X - the COVID mortality rate declines to 0.9%.
If 4X - the rate declines to 0.4%.
There are also important questions about the method the CDC uses to classify COVID deaths.
For instance...
The CDC classifies 100% of COVID + pneumonia deaths, and 100% of COVID + ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) deaths, as COVID deaths.
That is NOT how the CDC classifies influenza deaths.
You can't use totals. The death rate is 4-5 times lower than it was in April.
Actually, he died from complications related to Covid19, after a “heart procedure”. He had no underlying diseases. Sounds like somebody possibly screwed up.

RIP, but I’d remiss in not mentioning that Letlow was the a bit RINO-sounding to me, Lance Harris, the guy he beat, sounded more our style. Letlow went on about working with both sides of the aisle. How he’s dead of Biden’s Chinese virus, very sad.

Died with not from china virus, and 41 is to young for sure.
From what I read, it was the latter.
My brother and sister-in-law have had it for over a week, but we’re refused treatment until results from the long form of the test were finally sent to them today.
He died of a complication of COVID, namely a heart attack. His heart was healthy before COVID.
