The pro-Trump rallies in Washington D.C. are set to take place on the sidelines of a joint-session of Congress to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Supporters of President Trump are gathering in Washington as the president plans to address a pro-Trump rally taking place on the sidelines of a joint session of Congress to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election.
It comes as the president is putting pressure on Vice President Mike Pence to intervene during the session, tweeting: "Do it Mike, this is a time for extreme courage!" And it also follows the Georgia Senate runoffs, where Democrats are projected to pick up one -- and possibly two -- seats.
"I will be speaking at the SAVE AMERICA RALLY tomorrow on the Ellipse at 11AM Eastern. Arrive early—doors open at 7AM Eastern. BIG CROWDS!" Trump tweeted Tuesday night.
The president, last month, promised a "wild" protest in the nation’s capital on Jan. 6, while reiterating his claims that it was "statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election."
Also Tuesday night, the president tweeted that Washington is "being inundated with people who don't want to see an election victory stolen by emboldened Radical Left Democrats."
"Our Country has had enough, they won't take it anymore! We hear you (and love you) from the Oval Office," Trump tweeted. "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

China is happy.
That massive crowd cannot be ignored. Every member of Congress should be looking at that crowd as they are there in Washington D.C. to not just show their support for President Trump, but to vote with the First Amendment!
Can someone explain this?
The crowd (shown on the left) at the Ellipse awaiting Trump's speech seems rather small.
The one on the right seems much more enthusiastic, waving Trump flags and signs. Where are they? They don't appear to be at the Ellipse.
Why so few? Are they there by invitation only for this particular event (Trump speech)? Or are they restricted to small numbers for security purposes?
I was hoping to see crowds covering the Washington mall. Where are the big crowds of marchers / protesters? Are they meeting someplace else in DC?
Please tell me there are more patriots in DC than this.
OAN was showing the crowd at the Ellipse last time I looked about an hour ago. It did look like a small crowd.
I was finally able to get a source that showed more that just the Ellipse crowd. (Don’t know why they couldn’t do that in the first place.) It was indeed massive.

I applaud what those patriots did. It was fun to watch those Congress critters running for their miserable lives.
