REPORT: Trump Discusses New ‘Patriot Party’ As Republicans Capitulate

President Trump reportedly discussed forming a new political party – the Patriot Party – after “feuding” with the Republican establishment.

The Wall Street Journal reported the following in its January 19th piece entitled “Trump Has Discussed Starting a New Political Party”:

President Trump has talked in recent days with associates about forming a new political party, according to people familiar with the matter, an effort to exert continued influence after he leaves the White House.

Mr. Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week, the people said. The president said he would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party,” the people said.

Mr. Trump has feuded in recent days with several Republican leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), who on Tuesday said Mr. Trump deserved blame for provoking the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Polls show Mr. Trump retains strong support among rank-and-file GOP voters.

I understand exactly.

My point is, the deficit we will face by splitting the party into two, versus people in one party who simply won’t vote if it stays as one (as we see here) well...it will be basically a distinction without a difference, we will suffer electorally no matter what.

It looks like we are stuck on the horns of a dilemma. Usually, the only way out is to go between the horns, but in our case, that would be treating the electoral process as if it weren’t fixed and continuing to vote as if 2020 never happened.

In which case...we will suffer as well. Our country is in a difficult spot, no doubt.

If there is someone who could do it... He could...

I have no doubt if Trump recruited solid conservatives, and got them on the ballot in the right places, you’d see this party take some house seats in 22 at the very least.

Suffer electorally either way...

They have just shown you, your vote doesn’t matter....

GOP just committed suicide.

Other than deep red districts, none of them are safe in 22..

Assuming of course they actually do something about the fraud before then.

It’s an “Art of the Deal” thing, basically telling Mitch & Co., if they convict him, we are walking.

Won’t happen MAGA nationalist party will go the way of the Constitution Party in a giant heap of flames will way have too much inconstancy too way much infighting and will real with no core principle of any real substance outside.

If Trump wants to salvage anything for 2024 he needs to start up his own media empir and learn the art of politics while building up new coalitions within the GOP.

I’m going to be the downer here, I don’t want President Trump to ever run again for any office. He’s done, it’s over. What I do want are people who can create a realistic platform that gets the Republican Party back in contention to be elected, and to lead the entire country not just half.

Word is he is starting the new party?

Right. The corrupt Left and Democrat party has initiated this crisis.

The craven behavior of the Supreme Court to abdicate their responsibility when it counted has filled me with disgust and brought us to this point.

The State Legislatures and Judiciary at all levels have shown that not a SINGLE entity wanted to at best, NOT address the issues, and at worst, participated fully in precipitating, prolonging, and fostering the unconstitutional behavior at the State and Federal levels which resulted in this farce of an election.

And on top of all that, the Republican party in its near entirety (with some exceptions) shut their mouths and put their heads in the sand, for the sole selfish, and cowardly purpose of getting 2-6 more years of the gravy train. They were, at best, abject, pathetic cowards at all levels, and at worst, fully complicit in this crime which will go unpunished at every level.

I hope they enjoy the next 2-4 years, because that is all most of those Republicans are going to get.

May they all, ALL rot in Hell.

I don’t think you’re considering all the changes.

Trump supporters have had it with the GOP party.

This will happen now, and will greatly affect the 2022 elections, or it won’t happen at all.

Is any Trump supporter going to vote for any Republican in 2022?

🐿 🌈God bless you!

Trump is a fighter. We will never trust his Swamp critics. Ever.

If he abandons the GOP it is done. If he refutes a new party it is done.

The only thing the Swamp has over Trump is election rigging.

I understand what you're saying, and all I can say in response is this:

Isn't it obvious that the Republican Party wants NOTHING to do with the 75,000,000+ of us who voted for President Trump?

Why would I stay with a political party that hates each and every one of us as much as Joe Biden does when he called us all domestic terrorists today during his inauguration theft speech?

In 1992, the Republican Party told 20,000,000 Ross Perot voters that they were "stupid" and didn't want them in the party anymore. I took them at their word in 1992 and left.

I came back in 2008 to vote for McCain/Palin entirely because of Sarah Palin.

In 2012 I held my nose (regrettably...) and voted for that a**hole Romney.

It was only in 2016 that for the very first time since voting for Ronald Reagan in 1980 and 1984 that I was again proud to vote for a Republican, and that was Donald J. Trump.

So here we are again in 2020 with the Republican Party saying the same thing to 75,000,000+ President Trump voters that they did to 20,000,000 Ross Perot voters in 1992: WE DON'T WANT YOU.

Why would I stay where I'm not wanted? I'll put in the work to get President Trump on the ballot here in Illinois in 2024 in the Patriot Party. I know how to do it. And I will. Who's stupid here, us or them? (Clue: it ain't us.)

Cocaine Mitch and the rest of the Republican Party are dead to me. They'll *never* get another vote from me.
