Biden’s Energy Executive Orders Will Have ‘Huge Costs’ On American Families, Economist Says

Nick Loris, an economist with the Heritage Foundation, spoke with the Daily Caller News Foundation’s Samantha Renck about President Joe Biden’s executive orders on energy and the environment, what impact they might have, and more.

“The Paris Climate Accord was kind of doomed from the start” Loris, who published the report “Assessing Themes in the Biden Energy and Environment Platform,” said. “It would impose huge costs on American families and consumers and businesses in terms of higher energy prices and really be devoid of any meaningful climate benefit.”

Loris also discussed how rejoining the Paris Climate Accord could impact fracking in the United States.

“So what’s going to happen next is the administration will set what are known as ‘nationally-determined contributions’ and that’s effectively what the administration is going to do to get to emissions reduction targets as part of their Paris Climate pledge,” he said.

“It’s going to be… a whole host of new regulations on the [fracking] industry,” Loris said.

Since the Democrats need no longer concern themselves with winning or losing elections, they can shove anything they want down our throats. Election fraud is truly liberating for a politician.

Yup. Looks like frickin’ frackin’ will be put on a path of cancellation rather quickly. Sixty day moratoruim? Three weeks CV-19 shut down will take care of it. Later this year or next.

I think Biden’s anti-fossil fuel orders could well be his undoing. It will be very easy to blame him if the price of energy goes up. This could also be the last straw for the climate change agenda.

None of this will end well. Asterisk plans on incrementally starving America of its hard won energy independence. This will lead to sharply increasing energy costs, all energy, including renewables will cost more and more and more. Not to mention either an increase of Green House Gas releases, or tremendous increase in unemployment and bankruptcy.

Some people I have spoken with think this will only hurt the rich oil companies. An adult who understands the economy will realize that this is going to undermine the entire economy. Look around, everything you see, including yourself, got to where it is by using fossil fuels. NOTHING works without energy. President Asterisk will find out the hard way that his gauzy dreams about alternative energy sources are just that, dreams.

Kill the economy and you will kill innovation. Without innovation, renewable energy will be too expensive to use for everyday life. It will put essential services offline or out of reach for most Americans. With half the country unemployed, who could possibly afford the super-costly and scarce trickle of solar and wind energy?

Between the blackouts that leave taxpayers shivering or sweltering in the dark as they starve, ever higher taxes and decline of living standards, life will not resemble the Trump era in many ways, all important ones.

President Asterisk will greatly burden, and without opposition, destroy the American economy. Energy drought and collapse is just the beginning of their idiocy.

Nick Loris needs to go back to school or else tell us who held a gun to his head during the Presidential campaigning?

C’mon. Most of the people on FR are net receivers from federal government programs not net payers.

Trump should be holding a rally and tal,ing about this very thing, and warning right now how bad things are going to get so that when they do, he can seen as having spoke the truth about what is taking place, vindicated again. He could be a huge voice to sound the alarm and ,eep the feckless left in the spotlight so that Americans can see what a disastrous choice the left makes at our expense.

Plus the left would be ticked that he still pulls in ma y 1000s of rally goers.

Keep the spotlight on the lefts destruction of the economy. Keep at it day and night, don’t let them a minutes peace. ,eep pointing out how the left are driving businesses overseas again after Trump brought them all back, how liberal cites Re driving busineses and citizens away because of massive taxes, high gas prices etc.

Hope Trump who has a strong presence keeps up the pressure, and hopefully some Republicans in gov will support his efforts, but not holding my breath on that

“blame him if the price of energy goes up.”

If? Its going up. After whats left of the inventory is drained and they can no longer keep up with demand..

4 dollar a gallon gas by this time next year.

We will start to see shortages in NG also.

This pig Biden is hell bent on a complete destruction of the economy.

Everyone will be furious at the Democrats and yet they’ll magically manage to keep the Senate in 2022 and Harris will win in 2024. Hmmm....

The House is a tougher nut to crack with election fraud, because all the red states mostly run clean elections. Hopefully we at least take that.

Go for it Biden. My theory is that pragmatic economic concerns are the only thing keeping the Union together at this point. So let’s speed this along...

The ultimate goal is to exterminate the American people and replace them with third-world proles.
