DEFENSE SECRETARY LLYOD Austin on Wednesday ordered a military-wide "stand down" to address the kind of extremism within the ranks that was thrust into the public view on Jan. 6 when supporters of President Donald Trump – including some active-duty war veterans – forcefully stormed the U.S. Capitol.
The dearth of details about the stand-down highlights the apparent lack of understanding overall on the issue of extremism among military leaders. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby on Wednesday afternoon told reporters that commanders would have 60 days to schedule events for "needed discussions" about extremism.

They can't pretend to swear an oath to defend the Constitution and then look the other way at election fraud for the Commander-In-Chief. They also can't pretend to swear the same oath and look the other way when non-Natural Born Citizen Kamala Harris illegally ran for and stole the Vice Presidency.
The metamorphosis of the US military began under Clinton, and the staff officers and top brass have been basically politicians for a generation. This is not your daddy’s military. I’d heard back in the Clinton era that there was actually a query going round asking enlisted people if they were ordered to fire on fellow Americans if they would obey that order.
“Extremism” - wanting to defend America from enemies foreign and domestic.
(I’m more worried about the domestic ones.) Only God can save this country - if He chooses to do so.
They want a purge so that what remains will be willing to carry out what the Left really wants.
Meanwhile, our political representation wants to get back to crowing about capital gains tax cuts and saber-rattling in the Middle East. Good grief.
I hope the pussify the military, since the communists intend to use the military against us.
