COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) — Nearly all of the Democratic members of the South Carolina House have walked out of the chamber to protest a bill that would ban nearly all abortions in the state.
A few Democrats stayed behind Wednesday to deliver speeches opposing the bill before it was to go to a vote.
Republican members are expected to pass the measure easily and it will head soon to Republican Gov. Henry McMaster for his signature. McMaster has promised numerous times in news conferences and formal speeches to sign it as soon as possible.

I don’t understandd them. If they insist on abortions let them move to a state that allows it.

It needs to be stated more often that they favor abortion so people can fornicate and not have responsibility or face consequences for immorality.

That is the true pro-choice position. Each state had their own abortion laws prior to 1973 when SCOTUS miraculously discovered a right to privacy somewhere in the Constitution.
It doesn't matter, some federal judge is going to strike down SC's law before the ink gets dry.

I’ve never understood the Dem obsession with abortion. It’s sick.

A right to privacy was established by the Supreme Court in 1965 in Griswold v. Connecticut. The Roe decision was based on Griswold.

"It doesn't matter, some federal judge is going to strike down SC's law before the ink gets dry." Agreed. The cynical side of me thinks these laws are passed to create billable hours by attorneys hired to defend the law.

” It doesn’t matter, some federal judge is going to strike down SC’s law before the ink gets dry.”
It doesn’t matter if some federal judge strikes down SC’s law because the authority of federal judges will no longer be recognized.
As Andy Jackson rightly noted: “John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it.”

The majority claimed it was hiding in a ‘penumbra’ of the 4th Amendment. Somehow, Missouri has figured out how to drive out the last of the abortionists from the state. Pass the laws, by all means, but there are apparently lots of legal ways to drive the abortionists out.
In our town, the landlord who leased space for an abortion facility found that he wasn’t able to rent out other properties. After a while, the ‘clinic’ closed and he left town.

The fact its so easy to not get pregnant just shows how lazy and irresponsible people are. We’ve never had more control to not get pregnant.
Well, covid has screwed a lot of guys capabilities, and now the vaccines will screw over a bunch of women as well.

Like they're not being recognized now? How many states have passed abortion restrictions only to have a federal judge knock it down?
You didn't see them states pulling an Andrew Jackson, did you?

The article neglected to say the South Carolina House is made up of 81 Republicans and 43 Democrats.

I think we should point out if they are so pro-abortion then maybe they need to start with themselves.
