Worst disaster in TX history, you should cancel a vacation. This is a top-down massive failure.
What is he going to do? He’s not the governor or a local official and I doubt pedaling a bicycle to generate power would do much. There’s a lot to criticize politicians over but I do t see this as one of them
It was a holiday weekend. There was no point in cancelling. Why contribute to the power draw in TX?
What *should* he have done? He’s a *federal* official, not a state official. He has no authority, no role, nothing to do to fix this issue. He can do as much as you can.
So his presence in Texas would have solved the electrical generation because of idiotic (cash driven) decisions of no large storage of natural gas on generating plant sites? Or pie in the sky solar/wind electrical generation which without TAX subsidies seems to just wither and die?
Um, no.
you should cancel a vacation. This is a top-down massive failure.
Does Ted Cruz run Texas?
What does Cruz have to do with the power grid in Texas?
Am I missing something here?
Cruz job is not to run day-to-day Tejas.
Abbot and the State Legislatures’ fault.
Worst disaster in Texas history? Hardly—- but a smacking down for sure.
ROTFLMAO! Ye gads...grow a pair! Dealt with tons of cold spells in New England and the upper plains in my lifetime. Still here. (Wasn't it 30 to 40 below in Montana recently?)
LOL! Dude, it's a power outage.
The Great Storm of 1900 left more than 8,000 people dead in and around Galveston.
Welcome to FR. Sorry you’re getting jumped on for your opinions.
“Worst disaster in TX history, you should cancel a vacation.”
Yeah, Ted should have been out helping to defrost the windmills. /s
Good lord. That is what the governor is for.
“This is a top-down massive failure”
Does this mean that you think a US Senator is part of his state’s government? And that like the state Governor he can do something about the power emergency?
