“Front line?” Now that’s some old terminology! There are safer areas and more dangerous areas, but it’s been more complicated than that for a long time.

It is my understanding that he was or claimed to be a merc in either eastern Europe or Syria, I forget which. That’s probably what the shot of him with the weapon and patch was from.
