Thirty-five Capitol Police officers are under investigation — including six who have been suspended with pay — for their actions in the deadly January siege, according to the department.
Acting Chief Yogananda Pittman has indicated that any officer whose actions were found to be unacceptable on Jan. 6 will be disciplined, a department spokesman said in a statement to WTTG on Thursday.
“Our Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating the actions of 35 police officers from that day. We currently have suspended six of those officers with pay,” the statement read.
Some Capitol Police officers were caught on video watching the rioters enter Capitol Hill without taking any action.
In one video posted to YouTube, Capitol Police Lt. Tarik Khalid Johnson can be seen wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat while talking to several supporters of former President Trump.

How many police officers, like the New York City police brass, are being investigated for marching and kneeling with rioters?
They will investigate everyone but Pelosi.
Pelosi, who is ultimately responsible for security of congress turned down requests from the Capital Police for extra security, turned down an offer of extra National Guard and security from the Trump administration, and seemingly failed to react to the situation allowing it to become far worse than it needed to be.
The same Pelosi who remained silent and even supportive of riots at the White House where they attempted to storm the building, injured almost 70 officers, and lit the National Cathedral on fire. The same Pelosi who “cared little for statues” and failed to condemn rioting that served her political purpose.
Make no mistake..... all this “drama” about September 6 is all about protecting Pelosi and hiding or concealing her deliberate role in or ineptitude surrounding the events of Sept 6.
It’s an opportunity to purge the capitol PD of some conservatives.
An “armed insurrection” where the only person shot was a female Trump supporter - by the police. Where no gun charges (that I’m aware of) have been alleged by prosecutors. The NT Times “updated” their claim that an officer was hit in the head with a fire extinguisher - he was not.
There will be NO serious investigation into what Nancy and Mitch did with FBI briefings about potential problems on Jan 6.
The narrative is set. The impeachment cast. Spit.

This assumes the GOP has someone with the proper anatomy, made of brass, would step forward to do so.

I think this undermines EVERY narrative about the so-called "riot".
If people were waved in, and walked between velvet ropes, doesn't sound like a "riot" at all.
