Ok

“We feel like Republicans...”

maybe republicans. Conservatives do not talk like this. They do not act on “feelings” they act on thinking.

They think

Leftists don’t think they feel.

You failed fifth grade math, didn’t you? If half the GOP leaves to form a new party, the Democrats will be in full control for the next 200 years.

I know the argument is that a new party will simply split the Republican/conservative vote and just enable Democrats to easily win elections.

On the other hand, what do we gain, if we elect Republicans, and the Republican party is simply a Democrat/lite party, instead of a strong principled conservative values party?

My husband and I will no longer contribute to Republican Party or Republicans in general, only to Trump funds and Teumpists.

If we keep re-electing Bush League Republicans we will get what we have always gotten, Assistant Democrats.

Ditto here. I’m done with the GOP.

The problem is the surrender caucus wing of the GOP base. Roughly 1/3 of the base as best I can tell. They are weak, prone to surrender and are never going third party. Conservatives can’t win with them because the GOPe will collude with Democrats to defeat us and we can’t defeat Democrats without them. There is no happy ending here. RIP USA.

The GOP will be hunted down by the CCP, the DOJ, and DNC.

No one cares about them. They did NOTHING when
they had the chance to, except sell out.
They even backstabbed their POTUS and their voters,
and deservedly hated.

“By a near 2-to-1 margin, Republicans would leave the GOP to follow former President Donald Trump to a third party.”

That’s not almost half... That two thirds.

I find this poll underestimates Trump support.
It does not ask those who choose to remain in the GOP
if they support Trump or would vote for Trump again.
One cannot just assume that those who choose to
remain in the GOP are all Anti-Trump.

During their 15 minutes of fame, Parler had a group called the True Republican Unified Maga Party.

Any poll involving USA Today is a sham and this one is no different. It's premise is a leading question, "would you walk away from the Republican Party?"

It's part of the ongoing Kabuki Theater because the real question would be "regardless of whether you previously identified as Democrat or Republican, did the Uniparty walk away from you?"

USA Today, which has no credibility, is painting this as a Republican issue in order to hide the truth that a lot of Democrats voted for President Trump in his win of the 2020 election.

There's that "half" vs. "the other half" again.

"Half" of the country votes Democrat/Marxist, the other "half" votes Republican/Constitution.

Candidate A got 49%. Candidate B got 49.8% (pay no attention to those voting machines).

0h noes... 😱 this "country is so divided".

IMO this "half vs. half" is a way for a tiny minority to claim it is bigger and more important than it actually is.

If President Trump starts a new party, far more than "half" of the people will leave the Republicans to join it.

There won't be anyone left in the RINO party.
