When a handful of potential Republican presidential hopefuls convene on Thursday for the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), there will be one notable absence from the speaking lineup: Nikki Haley.
Haley, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and a potential 2024 White House contender, has found herself isolated from former President Trump and the populist wing of the GOP that he commands after a scathing interview with Politico in which she denounced her former boss and wrote off his future influence in Republican politics.
The fallout from Haley’s remarks underscores the risks associated with her strategy of criticizing Trump’s actions and establishing a separate political identity while at the same time trying to appeal to his base of supporters.

Trump declined her request last week for a face-to-face meeting at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. He has indicated that he will exact revenge on Republicans whom he believes have crossed him, throwing Haley’s future political ambitions into uncertain territory.

Sheesh. Not meeting with that airhead is not "exacting revenge". Why would anyone meet with someone who had just trashed him?

Now that Trump is OUT, partly the fault of the NeverTrumper wing of the GOPee, there is NO reason for The Base to support any of the NeverTrumpers going forward, ever.
In their tactical win, they have strategically lost; Big Time.

I understand that in politics, there are Republicans who don’t personally like Trump, or may disagree with some of his policies. But are these people so stupid, they can’t grasp what Trump represents, or are so corrupted they must disregard the will of tens of millions who support him?
That is Nikki Haley. She’s proven herself an idiot.
Nikki Haley’s mistake of throwing Trump under the bus shows just how completely out of touch she is with mainstream America. These long-time politicians inside the Beltway no longer see themselves as the servant of the People, but rather as royalty over the peons that keep voting for them.
That’s because there is no America First Lobby greasing the skids with these grifters. Their paychecks aren’t enough
Haley threw herself under the bus.
