Allow this and we are back to King George III. it will not end well for the politicians.

Nor will it end well for police. Warrantless invasions of homes under the guise of being ‘community caretakers’ should be a good reason for defunding of police.

If you're too unstable to have a gun you're too unstable to be walking free.Every state has well established laws allowing for emergency psychiatric commitment.Having laws specifically concerning firearms is a despicable violation of 2nd Amendment rights.

But as we've learned in the last few months there isn't a court in the land that gives a rat's hindquarters about the Constitution.

No.

Unless they overturn National Firearms Act and Gun Control Act they are just rearranging the deck chairs.

The states oddly enough have done a much better job.

Well they have upheld various local and State firearms laws which clearly violate the Constitution's supremacy over State laws via enumerated powers, specifically the Second Amendment in this case.

There is a very good reason they are slow walking the withdrawal of National Guardsmen and the dismantling "Fortress Washington DC" ...

“I also have no faith that they will support the second amendment.”

It already been posted but it was a prescient comment.

This is NOT a 2nd amendment but rather a 4th amendment case. Warrant-less search and seizure is specifically prohibited by the 4th amendment and unless SCOTUS is willing to overturn it by issuing a special “exception” pertaining to guns, the previous rulings will be overturned.

I believe 5 possibly 6 justices will not allow this “exception” to stand.

No question about it, especially since the SCOTUS declined to hear any of the 2020 vote fraud / election rigging cases that were filed, 7 of those currently on the SCOTUS are criminally corrupt. I’m sure those seven are scared to death of an armed citizenry as are most elected officials in DC because of their “ in our faces” criminal acts but those same folks keep saying gun control is for our own safety. The truth is the DC criminals are all very concerned only about their own safety. Hence, their public mantra of white armed American patriots are being pushed as today’s American terrorists. Only a wack job criminal libturd would believe that.

I hope so. My fear is that the Roberts court, who was afraid of riots from over turning a fraudulent election, will use that same fear now as an excuse to cave in and look like they are doing something to help with the “epidemic of gun violence”...

This is a dangerous path but I have no other choice.

I feel the same way.

Semper Fi. That fidelity is to my Country, my REPUBLIC, and the Constitution.

My Oath was not to this band of criminals working to tear it all down.

You said “no court”. Did you mean “no SUPREME court” or “NO court”?

The theory had been that, pre-Barrett, at least one of the four conservatives was voting against granting certiorari in gun control cases because he or they believed Robert’s was a likely pro-gun control vote.

Each of the five current conservatives, including Barrett, have authored opinions with strong interpretations of the Second Amendment, so I feel pretty good about our chances if a major gun control case comes up before the current court. I think one to watch is Duncan v Becerra, where a 9th Circuit panel held the California magazine ban unconstitutional.

En Banc review has been ordered and was set for oral argument yesterday, but has been rescheduled for June, so we will see what happens. Either way, it is a prime candidate for the Supreme Court.

Thank goodness I live in Texas. The sheriff in our county during Obozo’s reign sent letters to the residence under his jurisdiction reassuring there will be no gun confiscations under his watch.

The pirate traitor Roberts will do as his masters command him to do. Roberts is void of moral character, a dead soul puppet.

Please don’t impugn the honor of pirates by comparing this Quisling disappointment to them.

Seriously though, I agree with your estimation of his character. The longer he sits in that seat, the more compromised he proves himself to be.

I did mean SCOTUS. My phrasing was clumsy.

But they are the only ones who could rule on National Firearms Act and Gun Control Act.

My apologies ... Pirates had a code of honor among themselves. Roberts has no honor, he is owned.
