WASHINGTON -- The Pentagon on Wednesday will sweep away Trump-era policies that largely banned transgender people from serving in the military, issuing new rules that offer them wider access to medical care and assistance with gender transition, defense officials told The Associated Press.
The new department regulations allow transgender people who meet military standards to enlist and serve openly in their self-identified gender, and they will be able to get medically necessary transition-related care authorized by law, said the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal decisions not yet made public.

Defense.gov has turned into another woke, high-spending Washington DC bureaucracy.
When all is said and done, the Rat Party’s main function is the spread of perversion by force to every area of society.
They can no longer refer to groups of soldiers as “units”.
So it’s now be a transgender who wants the change operation so join the military, get them to pay for it, spend the rest of your hitch on profile, get out and get on 100% disability.
That’s the way I see it.
We should change our whole armed forces to transgendered troops
Certain quotas must be met. Certain persons will get career advancements simply because of this “change” and ideology.
Our adversaries around the world must be incredulous at the self destruction of our once great military. And they will take full advantage of it.

Fortunately there are still real soldiers serving who can’t be touched by this crap.

I wonder how the hispanic members of the armed forces will react to this sweeping change. They tend to be on the macho side. This probably won’t sit too well with that particular demographic.
The extended transitioning period reduces the readiness of the military.
