Here We Go – American Airlines Slams Texas Election Integrity Legislation
Hot Air ^ | April 2, 2021 | Karen Townsend

Georgia is not the only state working on legislation to improve election integrity. Texas made a step in the right direction on Thursday when the state Senate approved legislation that would ban mail-in drop boxes and most drive-thru voting. The bill, SB7, was passed on a party-line vote. The criticism of the bill is along party lines, too. The Texas State Senate approved the legislation on April 1, a measure that Republicans say “ensures election integrity,” while Democrats say it’s voter suppression and makes it harder for people with disabilities and ethnic minorities to vote. SB7 passed on a vote of 18-13. It now goes to the Texas House of Representatives. Committee hearings are scheduled for April 6. There were seven hours of debate in the Senate. The bill also limits early voting hours and makes it illegal for local election officials to proactively send applications to vote by mail to voters, even if they qualify.

They should fingerprint every man woman and child who enters this way.

Run them against the gambit of unsolved crimes in the US and Mexico.

Back catalog and going forward.

I was pretty pro-business in my youth but now they are the enemy.

These multi-nationals are not businesses. They are arms of government, who have accepted their roles as enforcers of political correctness and Federal labor laws through their HR departments in return for a guaranteed US market position and immunity from certain types of lawsuits, taxes, and regulations.

There is no need to treat the opinions of these CEOs any differently from the opinions of Biden's cabinet undersecretaries - which is what, in practice, they are. They are not representing any sort of free market viewpoint.

In the company I work for, it started when they started to implement “core values” for us 3-4 years ago. Mainly things like being creative and innovative, delight the customer and being... diverse. Ever since the George Floyd riots, my CEO has used these values as an excuse to turn his weekly company email updates to rants about racism, climate change, the “insurrection”, and blaming Trump for violence against Asians. All because we need to apply our company’s “core values” to all of society’s problems.

Notice how when companies decry anything that isn’t progressive, they cite that it runs against their “core values”, as though these values are their religion.

Honest question: what’s with all the airlines suddenly siding with the Dems on election laws? I mean, why airlines? Why not the competitors of MyPillow? My guess is the airlines have been promised special exemptions from Biden’s big corporate tax grab in exchange for their cooperation in this matter.

This is hilarious. You need an ID to fly their shitty airplanes but not to vote.

How incredibly stupid.

Dominion eliminated the need to pretend that the archaic election concept exists.

And yet American Airlines demands ID and proof of stock ownership to gain admittance to their stockholder meetings.

That’s voter suppression!

To be blunt, AA isn’t very good at flying either. Toward the bottom of my picks if I have another option.

These people cannot process mail in ballots. They do not have the capability to process large volumes of anything once a year with balloon volumes every 4 years. They don't have the expertise. except to cheat.

I'm sure that there are some highly organized groups behind this - not talking lobbyists, but professional cyber agitators. They get their assignments & then send out alerts to the SJWs who just waiting for directions on who to bully next. It's pretty much just a click of the mouse.

I picture a whole army of Karens and basement-dwelling losers checking their phones every 5 minutes for the next "call to action". They don't even think about it - they just get their orders & start the bullying, because that's the only thing that gives their life purpose. And they probably never use the products/services that they're threatening to boycott.

I'd love to know the details on the groups driving this. I'm sure Stacey Abrams' fat hands are all over many of them.

The woke culture is definitely controlling the direction of the country. If a company is not run by Leftists, they are at the least surrounded by and monitored by Leftist activists. Companies are now being controlled through their ESG scores. If they don’t have an acceptable score, they can be penalized in numerous ways, making it difficult to do business.

“Why airlines?”

The airlines have lost tons of money on account of Covid. They desperately need government bailouts to have a hope of staying afloat. So - suck up to government, which at this time is run by Democrats.

The Democrats, for their part, are desperate to change election laws (through HR1) to ensure their majorities, such as they are, stay in force. They are pulling out all stops to get whatever support they can.

So, the airlines and the Democrats need each other.
