AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The PGA Tour and the PGA of America on Saturday each issued statements in response to Georgia's controversial new voting laws, with the Tour saying it will not move its season-ending event to be played in the state in August.
The Masters Tournament, which begins this week at Augusta National Golf Club, is expected to address the matter Wednesday when chairman Fred Ridley holds his annual pretournament news conference.
The PGA Tour's season-ending FedEx Cup playoff event, the Tour Championship, is played annually at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. The PGA of America runs the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, scheduled for June at Atlanta Athletic Club.
Citing its financial commitment to the local community and various charities, the PGA Tour said it would not move the Tour Championship.

Stalingrad for Woketopia?
I’d prefer it be a Nagasaki, but we take what we can get.

Ahh, memories of when the PGA turned Shoal Creek into Soul Creek.
Professional sports need to be brought down a few pegs. Not a new development. All of them. Looks like golf will hold the line here ... sort of.
Georgia “Governor-in-her-own-mind,” Stacey Abrams has cost Georgians, MLB, MLB vendors and charities and local merchants a lot of money.
To raise more money for her (cough) non-profit, and in between eating extra-cheese pizzas, she
has said things about Georgia’s new voter integrity law that are off-the-wall, and have no basis in truth.
So I guess the “Big Gulper” wont be voting anytime soon....rotflol.
I love golf but I stopped watching after they moved the tournament off the Trump course. I don’t care which sanctioning body did it, the fact is not one golfer stood up in opposition.
The results of our "betters" (Democrats) being either stupid or liars. .
Oh wait......for sure Democraps are both stupid and liars.....but we musn't forget our best "betters," the sap-happy, power-mongering-type Democraps.
I was watching college baseball on television on Friday night (no more MLB) and they were running commercials for the Masters that showed historic clips with the song “Georgia on My Mind” playing in the background. I am sure some liberal heads were exploding.
Golf is my new favorite sport.
You bastards better be damn careful and “addressing “issues
Why not address voter fraud?
Wow...the PGA more balls than the NFL and MLB.
I’ll round out my boxing and UFC with some Golf now.
I always watch the Major Tournaments, now I’ll tick it up a notch.
Why should the people running the Masters be expected to comment on GA election law? The proper response is to say nothing, and if asked, say we don’t get involved in politics unless they affect golf.
College baseball is very underrated. The Masters triggers liberals just by existing. The name alone is problematic for them.
“Stalingrad for Woketopia?”
All they have to do is dig in. Look at Cuomo and Northam. They aren’t going anywhere. The mob is vicious, but it has a short attention span.
Fatso will be effected about as much as was Absent a Cortex (AOC) was since their following is a bunch of brain dead marxist followers. The gimme dat culture moves forward. See, when the object is avoiding any kind of work, promoting activities that support business is out of fashion. Recall that AOC ran off Amazon from her unemployed welfare based voting area. Jobs, who wants jobs? We want make a statement but make sure the checks keep coming. In fact, no more checks, they just put the money on their various payment cards. Why have to go to the bank to cash a check, to much trouble. Just like going to vote is too much trouble even with virtual full year day and night time voting now.
The response given by the PGA as stated in the article is open ended “they are monitoring the situation”....I golf at a small local course here in Louisiana, ardent Trump (America first) supporters. I can easily go through the rest of my days without viewing or supporting ANY sports that choose to get political rather than concentrating on their game. Speak with your wallet and time viewing as it correlates directly to their income.
The fact that not one of their members said a word against this really incensed me given some of them played an occasional round with Trump.
I don’t understand why they don’t understand just that.
with the Tour saying it will not move its season-ending event to be played in the state in August.

Well, that’s better than Trump got, they yanked their tournament from his club long ago. I still won’t watch, golf is about as entertaining as watching paint dry.
