BTW, I thought when you were impeached and convicted, you were forever barred from holding any office of the United States (which of course is why they so desperately wanted Trump impeached post-tenure)?

Shouldn’t the House refused to seat him? Or, did he resign from the bench before he could actually be convicted in the Senate?

He was convicted. The House and Senate didn’t declare him ineligible for office. They have to do that. It’s not automatic.

His impeachment was in the Florida legislature iirc
