Excuse me. Who is Cumber bun and why should I care?
. BTW, I also FINALLY watched Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, in Wonder Woman 1984. I haven't seen the first one, but if people were sincere about her being "mesmerizing" and brilliant in the role, her performance must have been 20x better in the first film. She was really flat and boring in the sequel, and apparently speaks with a heavy Israeli accent and hoarse voice, which was just plain weird coming out of Wonder Woman's mouth.
I liked the show “Elementary”.
Anyway Wonder Woman, I did not get passed the mall scene in “1984”, seriously, I could tell it was nonsensical garbage so I turned that shit off, the last time I was so sure so soon was with “Men in Black 2”.
She’s a model, not an actress but the first one was fine/good, it’s the only “Marvel” movie I’ve seen since the first X-Men I think.
Yeah, similar “okay, I’m done with this movie” 10 minutes into the film with Men In Black 2. When the third one came out, I realized I had no memory at all about the events of the second one, despite having seen it immediately when it was released. Then I rewatched and remembered why I didn’t remember it. lol. MIB2 is a complete waste of film and just repeats all the stuff from the first movie, flipping Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones roles.
I haven’t seen any of the other “modern” DC comic adaptations (zero interest in Batman v. Superman, either version of Justice League, Aqua Man, etc.), I only watched Wonder Woman 2 because it was nominated for some Razzies. Afterwards, I wondered (pun intended) why Gal Gadot wasn’t up for Worst Actress. The worst thing about the movie was probably Wonder Woman herself.
I knew the actress was Israeli before I had seen the movie, but plenty of well known Israeli celebs can “Americanize” their voice pretty flawlessly (Netanyahu, Natalie Portman, etc.)
Yeah, saw that, shame he went so young. He placed a decent 2nd for the IA district across the river from his old IL seat last year. Curious had he gotten the nomination and won, this would be the very seat the Demonrats were trying to steal from Miller-Meeks, and would be competitive in an open special. RIP.
Although some actors have done marvelously in the role, Jeremy Brett was the definitive Sherlock.
I’ve heard it frequently argued that Basil Rathbone was the “definitive Holmes”. I’ve never seen any of his Holmes movies, though.
I thought Robert Downey Jr. was bizarro casting back in 2009, but his Holmes turned out to be surprisingly good. And casting Stephen Fry as his brother Mycroft Holmes was genius!
Robert Downey Jr. is a darn good actor.
Rathbone as the definitive film Sherlock. Brett as the definitive television Sherlock.
