So you are more likely to get the South African variant if you got the shot than if you didn’t at all. Hmmm....
Women and minorities hardest hit....
Killer bees, flying piranha, tiny fire ants, rabid cows!!!
We all should mask up and social distance for two weeks and it will flatten the curb of the variant. Or maybe......
Or just have the disease and likely never have to worry again.
Not my original strategy, but now my reality.
Wasn’t a big deal.
So how come we cannot have a Chinese Virus but we can have a South African Variant?
I'll probably still get a flu shot because I haven't had that virus since I started getting them some years back. Yes, I know it mutates also. However, they seem to guess correctly most years.
Yearly vax coming. That’s WHY they are setting up “Vaccine Passports” and not talking about it.
I have, yet another, dumb question: Isn’t this to be expected, that the use of “vaccines” to change the bodies response to the virus will cause the virus to mutate into such a form that it circumvents the “vaccine’s” mechanism?
So, let’s continue the push for experimental vaccines. Not only can’t they say these vaccines don’t pose a risk of future adverse reactions but now they’re saying the vaccines may not work. Great, in addition to running the statistically mild risk of contracting COVID19 now you have to run unkown risks from a useless vaccine. Yeah, that’s a smart decision.
In their study, the prevalence of the South African strain among vaccinated individuals who were infected despite their inoculation was eight times higher than its prevalence in the unvaccinated infected population.
“Based on patterns in the general population, we would have expected just one case of the South African variant, but we saw eight,” Prof. Adi Stern, who headed the research, told The Times of Israel. “Obviously, this result didn’t make me happy.”
The research, which has been posted online but not yet peer-reviewed, is likely to raise questions about Pfizer’s own real-world study, which found that in South Africa, despite the local strain being prevalent, the vaccine was 100 percent effective.
The Tel Aviv research appears to corroborate a recent study from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, which found that the vaccine response is less effective against the South African variant. It drew its conclusion by analyzing blood samples, while the new research is based on actual sequenced test results.

COVID-19 is a communist plot
Anybody that doesn’t realize at this point has their head screwed on backwards
I know folks here at for republic want to post breaking news as soon as they see it and there’s thousands and thousands and thousands of coronavirus stories every single day in the news with headlines that are slightly “variance”
Let me ask you a question though
At this point more than a year after government solve this crisis why are we still talking about this?
Well the answer is simple it’s because the communists don’t stop
If I was to tell you that we’re still going to be talking about this next year and the year after and the year after and vaccines and all the nonsense what would you say to that?
My opinion is it’s time to MoveOn and drop this subject and ignore all government dictates
Wait just one da#n minute. Why is it OK to discuss a “South African” variant, but using the name “Wuhan” (or “Chinese”) virus ist verboten?
I think TPTB in South Africa need to have a one-on-one with WHO’s Tedros - he needs to have his head put on straight.
