The US will likely reach a “tipping point” over the next few weeks when supply of the COVID-19 vaccine will outpace those willing to receive it, according to a report released this week.

“While timing may differ by state, we estimate that across the U.S. as a whole we will likely reach a tipping point on vaccine enthusiasm in the next 2 to 4 weeks,” the nonprofit Kaiser Family Foundation said in the report published Tuesday.

Well, the enthusiasm for the vaccine might improve in states like Illinois IF the government talked about removing the mask mandate after a threshold of vaccinations are administered. With all of the talk about “you have to wear a mask anyway” that can sway undecided people to avoid the vax in the first place. If they really wanted to eliminate the COVID threat AND the vaccine works, the best way to get people to voluntarily get the vax is to provide a reward, not more of the same.

You are also reaching herd immunity, especially among those actually vulnerable. 80%+ of over-65s have been vaccinated already.

With spare vaccines available, its time to think of shipping a lot of it off to places like the Philippines, which is in desperate need, or even Japan, which has screwed up badly on this. Geopolitical opportunities abound.

Jeez... they say that like it’s a bad thing. It’s a good thing when there’s enough to give those who want the vaccine. Whether to get the vaccine should remain the choice of the individual. And, whether a person chooses to get the vaccine or chooses to not get it, they should be responsible for the consequences of that choice.

If they really wanted to eliminate the COVID threat AND the vaccine works, the best way to get people to voluntarily get the vax is to provide a reward, not more of the same.

And then when they get what they want, which is convincing people to get vaccinated, they could just renege on the reward and go back to forcing masks on everyone. Who would stop them? Certainly not the keyboard warriors here and the patriots.

I get emails 2 or 3 times a week from my VA facility wanting me to come in to get my vaccination.

And not 5 minutes ago, I got my first robo call from the same VA facility offering the vaccine to me, my spouse, my family and any caregivers for FREE.

Come on down now, was the message.

The system has been oversaturated and they have hit the wall. You can sense their desperation.

With the Fauci's of the world telling us we will still have to wear masks, social distance and stay in lockdowns even after getting vaccinated and to get booster shots every 6 months or a year, with all of the publicized side effects of the vaccines and combined with the knowledge that the survivability rate for the covid itself is at 99.8%, many people are questioning why the vaccines are even necessary.

I am one of those people. What's the point?

I’m 66 and so far have refused the vax, but I see a day coming when these bastards will say “ No vax? Well then we are just going to hold on to your SS check until you get it JACK! Ha Ha.”

Someone I know who got the first shot (why, I don't know because they already got batflu and recovered) said there were hundreds if not a thousand people there at the location with the national guard assisting and all that. They went back for their second shot the other day and it was a ghost town. That was just two weeks later.

I think we have already hit the amount that will willingly take the emergency use vaccine.

Now starts the real coercion phase.

Just got a Public Service Alert over my phone I've never gotten before. Ringtone sounded like when there is a tornado or hurricane alert. Scared the shit out of me.

The PSA was to tell me there was no appointment necessary, just walk up, vaccine schedule. Had to click of some URL: tiny url.com/t5v4vjsb. I didn't click on it and don't know who sent it.

It's obvious to me that the powers to be know I haven't gotten a vaccine yet. Previously, in another comment on this thread, I mentioned that the VA has been bombarding me with messages too.

It's looking clearer that this vaccine process has more to do with information gathering from the public and less to do with their health and well-being.

I'm not taking their bait.
