Clinton-Obama official Steven Simon is urging President Joe Biden to designate gun control a “national security imperative” in order to get it through Congress.

Politico published an op-ed written by Simon and Jonathan Stevenson, who served as the National Security Council’s “director for political-military affairs” for roughly two years during the Obama administration.

The central point of the op-ed is to urge Biden to reframe gun control in a way that puts the onus on Congress.

Bill of Rights? Pffffttttt. All that crap ain't protected. Fidiots! IF there were a gun "problem", with 300+ million firearms in this country, we probably would have noticed.

Why not? The only amendment not destroyed and ignored by the democrats is the third amendment. And I am sure they are working on that.

Court Challenge:

If the WH believes gun crime is a "National Security Issue" then they MUST prioritized the Criminals in the Dem Cities, and leave law abiding gun owners alone.

I guess that guns as a public Heath issue is not resonating all that well with the focus groups, so they want to take it up a notch. Problem is, the more they push this BS and the more violence we’re seeing from the far left, people that had no desire to own a gun before now want one. Not to mention that violent crimes are rising & the police are under attack, even when they do the right thing.

Yeah.... there’s a gun problem alright as I can’t seem to acquire a Gau or any of the other high end weapon systems without subjecting myself to multiple microscopic orifice inspections while paying out the wazoo. Why would I want such things, you might ask.

Primarily for some good old fashioned fun (imagine clearing out some wild hogs with a Gau) and secondarily; to repel any threats I deem as life threatening to me and mine.

So Clinton is saying the government is so corrupt and wants to exert totalitarian control that to resist naked aggressive tyranny along with promoting responsible government would be considered a national security risk. From her vantage point of desperately emulating an oppressive authoritarian rule and ignoring Constitutional protections, the chick would be correct in Minecraft.

“Hillbilly inbreds.”

Alright now.... there’s no need to insult hillbillies as at a minimum they have some redeeming qualities.

Thee biggest problem with guns in this country is illegally owned firearms by criminals and illegal guns smuggle into it which the government with all it’s boasting about making everyone safe cannot control at all.

As someone said, you don’t deal with theproblem of drunk driving by outlawing vehicles for all law abiding drivers.

If gun ownership is causing a “national emergency then so isn’t owning vehicles, swimming pools, 5 Gallo. Buckets which cause drowning incidents from time to time, knife pwnership since knives kill far far more people than rifles do, hands fists, feet etc which also kill far more people than rifles inthe hands of criminals have, on Nd on and on it goes. Many. Many things are far more deadly tha. Riffles are. Electricity also kills. We gonna declare a national e mergency because electricity killed more than 300 people and injured over 4000 per year? Criminals with Rifles, the kinds that kamalamma and ilk want to ban only accounted for a little over 300 deaths in 2019. Electictiy killed nearly as many, why no “national emergency” order for it?

Just like the left want to declare the climate as a “national health risk and ‘national security risks, there have zero deaths due to climate change to date, as per a funded report not long ago. Once again, democrats are falsely creating a crisis where none exist

Your chances of being shot to death are as great as your chances of being killed by an auto crash.

Anyone going to give up driving for “National Security” reasons?
