There are quite a few shockers in the top 10:
Springfield, OH.
Lafayette-West Lafayette, IN (Butt boy left a big hole there)
Concord and Manchester-Nashua, NH
Santa Cruz-Watsonville, CA (people are fleeing CA and the prices in Santa Cruze are stratospheric with LOTS of run-down, dilapidated houses).
No income tax or sales tax in New Hampshire. That may be a draw.
New Hampshire isn’t so surprising. A lot of people from Massachusetts are moving up there, plus the employment climate there is good, probably better than in most of the other Northeastern states.
Real estate prices are so high in San Francisco and Silicon Valley that Santa Cruz may be where people who work there and have money — but not big money — end up.
I just left California for Lake Havasu City. This is Trump city. Flags and bumper stickers everywhere. I love it.
That one surprised me as well.
